Exaclty we wouldnt be a nation of death and distruction if our own people would just stop the distruction and demand sound money and a world worth living in.Well to be fair, there are a ton of differences between WW2 and present day.
I'd agree to an extent that the responsibility of the conflicts, which you are against, lies with the soldiers. You can't simply dismiss that and say they're clear because they're doing a service to their country. Everyone in this position is going to feel justified, regardless of the motivations, by simply saying they are not responsible and the burden is on the leader. If not for the soldier, there would not be a battle.
They do shit I'd never do, most of them actually believe it's for some greater good, the soldiers motivation is not what's in question, they all support America I'm sure, otherwise they wouldn't be in the military. The thing about that is that the motivations and conflicts of interest present in todays military industrial complex introduce an entirely new aspect to the game. Where it doesn't matter anymore if your justified, just so long as your following orders and fighting 'terrorism' or 'communism' or 'socialism'... or whatever other label they give to invisible enemies that cannot be defeated via conventional warfare and will never quit no matter how many billions of dollars we spend and no matter how many great young men and women give their lives in a false belief that some day it'll end, and justice will win.
None of them question the authority, I know how the mindframe of a fresh young recruit is, I used to be one. I've been in more than a few recruiters offices soaking up all the great things and new opportunities. I never signed on the dotted line because I didn't want to kill innocent people. Those that do either don't think about it, or it doesn't matter to them the way it did to me, I'd suspect the former, but I've met a few who represent the latter to a T. Can you blame them for it? ...I can.
I'm sorry man, it's not unpatriotic to call out criminal action or illegal behavior, especially on the battlefield. It doesn't weaken our intel or our defense, it promotes democracy and justice, and shows leadership.
It shouldnt matter how it happens what peices of papper are "violated".
The constitution is only valid to most of the people that support it when its in their favor anyways. If the constitution is agianst what they say then they will reinturpret it to say what they want.
Just like the bibble or anything else.
And by the way I am a liberal and Obama is NOT a liberal if he was we wouldnt have a death penalty, drug war, shitty economy because republicates do more evil then ANY liberal would do.
One thing that a liberal would do that alot of you right wingers dont dig is the full on ban of assault weapons, black rifles(ar15, ak7,keltechs,mini14) and handguns that carry over 15 rounds.
Go ahead and tell me how stupid I am but im not saying we should ban all guns just the ones that if you did use for homedefence you could kill the children next door not just the intruder.
No need to bust out a assault rifle on a home intruder so their is no point in owning a rifle like that and say its for self defence when you could kill inocent people in the proccess of protecting yourself.
