I still have not read where you give a solution to the problem. would you really just throw out over an ounce because of a little mold? people eat moldy food all the time (or eat around it)

I would throw out the bud with the mold on it Just because you find mold on one piece doesn't mean the whole harvest is compromised.

Solvent: The material that does the dissolving
Solute: The material being dissolved
Trichomes are not soluble in water, this is why we are able to make bubble hash or grow weed outside.

I've washed moldy weed and it didn't take a week.
Used 1 cup of 3% peroxide in a 5 gallon bucket, per Jorge Cervantes.
"Bathe harvested branches full of buds in the diluted h2o2 then shake dry and hang in a well-aerated room until excess surface water is gone. Manicure buds while plants are fresh and supple."
I've used this method with both moldy & mite infested crops and it worked perfect.
(I made ultra strength butter with the washed weed. Mmm Mmm good!)

I got some bud with some light bluish mold. I've been trying to do a good job curing it, I guess I left the lid on too long and didn't burp it often enough. 
Would putting it in the OVEN at 200 degrees for an hour kill the mold?

I H2O2 bath moldy buds but I wouldnt risk ever smoking them.

Mold on plants indoors is VERY Easily prevented with a controlled environment, its cheap, necessary, and its hardly worth the efforts of growing without the proper tools.
Only consume the finest mold free buds for best results.

Not sure, but peroxide does have antimicrobial properties. It also kills the shit out of mold & mildew. Probably kills mites too.

Stage 2: Room temperature tap water (use RO if tap water ppm > 30)
There were trichomes in the bottom of my tubs after emptying, but the loss was minimal. Finished product turned out OK but could have been better. I don't blame the rinse for that though. The strain was a heavy feeder and I should have used more K2SO4. Buds taste a bit harsh and burn too fast.

I'm soaking the ones with mold, gently shaking them 2x/day. The ones with no visible mold, or very little are sitting in the open, in a gentle breeze.
The reconditioned stuff is going straight to butter.

Let's all focus on preventing mold instead of ways to make bud appear not to be moldy ......I trash any moldy bud ...my cancer patients immune systems are already weak and vulnerable .....having to throw away medicine will teach you and make you strive to learn how to prevent it in future grows ......moldy bud can end up in a sick persons hands ....just bin that shit and better luck next time ....

Yes, preventing mold is where it's at. Same goes for bugs.
But saying that you'd throw away a crop with mold spores is saying you'd toss cannabis that's grown outdoors. Mold spores are everywhere. They are in greenhouses and they are probably in your grow room unless you've got a HEPA filter on the intake.
Bugs are a different matter, but they are still much easier to get than most people realize. Dogs are notorious for spreading spider mites, and anything that smells will attract fungus gnats. I swear those little fuckers wait by the door for someone to open it. Grr...
Healthy plants with high brix are the best defense, but plants gradually weaken after they are halfway through flower. This is when you need to be most vigilant.
