How to make an easier sandwhich

Steps to make an Elvis sandwich :-)


  1. Cut the banana into nice round slices
  2. Add peanut butter to the bread and then top the peanut butter with bananas
  3. Fry up some quality bacon till it's nice and crispy then place it top of the bananas.
  4. Apply butter to pan and fry the sandwich, do it as if you were cooking a grilled cheese, fry until the bread is golden brown.

If you really want to make it the good way, slightly mash the bananas in a small mixing bowl and the add them on top of the peanut butter.

they also have tomato slices that slice whole tomatoes into the perfect "restaurant" style sandwich slice...

on a side note... did you know the tomatoes that you get at the store arent ripe when they are picked?? they are actually gassed in the shipping truck with a gas that makes unripe green/yellow tomatoes turn red... just thought id throw that in...

funny you would mention that. thats not entirely true. i just ran a load of tomatoes with my grandpa from Birmingham to Ft myers FLA for a company called flavor pic tomatoes. the toms arew picked early but usually they run the entire bushell thru a sprayer that sprays some chemical on them as they leave the distributor warehouse. if you worked in a restaurant or grocery store than you have undoubtably noticed that the toms ont the edge of the box are usually more ripe than the ones in the middle. well thats why sometimes the ripener wont reach the middle. thats not to say that there isnt a company that would use a gas in the truck to ripen the toms but it is probably more expensive not too mention you would need other permits to transport pressurized gasses in any worthy quantity on a truck over state lines
