HOW TO KILL SPIDER MITES 100%: " Naturally - no chemicals"

I've only ever had spider mites once. I ordered a predatory mite called Amblyseius fallacis from NIC in Canada. They were $65.00 shipped. Killed every mite and killed the ones that hatched later. They've never come back. These predatory mites will live up to 30 days with no food and a rh of at least 50%. If they have food they will stay around much longer. Ideally, when they kill every last mite they have nothing to eat so they will leave or die off.

I just noticed a small spider mite infestation on a couple plants in my indoor garden. Id say its on less then 5 percent of the plants in general. I have been pretty lucky so I have almost no experience dealing with bugs. The real issue is Im super late in Flower. Day47-50 on 60 days strain.

On the couple infected plants they are going bananas!!! webs totally visible can see them crawling everywhere, mostly on one of the three strains. Strange thing is they haven't done any visible damage yet.

I have some mighty wash that I don't think Ive ever even opened but Id prefer to not use it this late in the game unless things get out of control....

So far my plan is to wait until the lights come back on and use my shitty vacuum to suck up whatever I can plus maybe do this hab pepper spray...??

Seems like a lot of work and I might burn out my eyes!!!

I guess my question is how much will the mites effect at this point? Should I just skip the spray and suck them up instead and wait it out?

there will be dead mites and their poop all over in your bud.
If you already see webbing and shit its an issue.

I think you are wise manually removing them.
I have heard that pyrtherum bombs are safe but im sure that would be debated.
Not sure if i spelled it right.
Mightywash is fine if you are not worried about mold

Ya mold shouldnt be an issue if I just spray early in the daily light cycle right? so it has time to dry out before the lights go out... Like I said ive never used the mighty wash... do I have to worry about putting it on the leaves and having it burn the plant at all? I know that can be a concern with spraying in daytime.

I discovered my mites about 1 week from harvest and they were pretty well established. I ordered my predatory mites but there was no way they'd make it before it was time to chop the ladies so I asked the bug specialist what I should do. She told me to just use a shop vac to suck all the visible mites and webs off. It worked like a charm. Just be careful not to suck your buds into the shop vac. You might lose some trichomes from the force of the vac but it didn't change the potency for me.

This late in the game they really won't harm your plants. Just adds an ick factor and you have to deal with them before your next crop.

I also spoke with an old school grower and he told me to hang the plants upside down to dry and any live mites will crawl to the top of the stems. Then just shop vac them off the stems. He was right. He also said smoking the dead mites was no big deal, even if there were some left. We've all likely smoked dead mites at one point or another and not known about it. Smoking dead mites is better than smoking chemical residue if you go that route. My crop was a mighty fine smoke despite the possibility of some dead mites left behind. I didn't notice.

After that I spread the live predatory mites on my new plants and all was well. They killed any mites left behind.

Cool ty for the advice, I think I might go the suck and wait to see if they go crazy before I blast them with anything. I have the MW in hand just in case it turns ugly quick. I made another post about this earlier its on like 3 tops out of 100 so Id hate to overreact and mold everything out.

Used plant cleanse and vital rinse from skunk labs horticulture, cleared up all the mites i had. they have 32oz samples for free right now cant beat that. tried soo many products but this is for sure the most effective and didnt bother the plants.

I think thats a wise idea. Keep the vacuum ready to follow up over the next few days as you wind it down. If you see the little buggers... suck them away. Mites on 3 tops out of 100 is NOT the end of the world. Remember to hang them upside down to dry as the mites that remain will go to the top of the stem.

Remember to disinfect your vacuum after you are done as well. Make a plan to eradicate them after you harvest.

Yes. It works super! No harm at all ( though don't ever let your flowers soak too long without proper circulation - as mold results. But we all know that, right?)

Another great aspect of Caliclean is that it inhibits molds and bacterias - When was the last time you saw a mouldy rotten pepper? like almost never. :)

Thank you for your question.

Peace!

Can anyone help me? I need to know if the active proteins in the Trinidad Scorpion Moruga pepper is the same as the Habanera one.
All i have here is Trinidad Scorpion Moruga, other than that there's the regular old pepper.

I have tried the habanero pepper spray and it DOES NOT WORK. I made some spray that was so potent you needed to have a respirator when applying it. A dust mask is woefully inadequate. So, there was no question about the spray not being potent enough. The problem here is that topical sprays such as what is recommended in this thread DO NOT KILL THE EGGS. If you still have eggs you still have a problem. Forget this method unless your plan is to spray every other day for 2 weeks. Even spraying this stuff once is a very uncomfortable experience if you are not wearing protective gear and have a fan blowing it away from you and out of the room.

If you have small clones you can try dipping them every other day for 2 weeks. That may very well work. However, if your plants are bigger you will likely need to spray them and that's where this method becomes a huge hassle.

I'd spray em, just to make sure they're dead, Ur plants won't mold if u spray early in the light cycle, its just charged water at certain frequency to kill mites. I had an infestation once, and mW did a number on them, every mite that the mW touched died, just spray for 4 days straight, that way u can get the mites that hatch. U could prolly get pm wash too from the same company, if u were concerned about mold. But it honestly shouldn't b a problem if u have the proper ventilation, dealing with it when it dries is kinda meh IMHO. Ur risking any eggs to hatch and eventually spread from top to bottom of Ur product, rather than dealing with it while its at a concentrated area. If u had mites on u, would u rather wait?? Or get them off you asap??? Just food for thought

I've been doing thus once per month for over a year now. I know it works first hand. I was gifted new clones from someone who dabbled indoor and outdoor to say the least he had pests. I was able to solve my pest problem with this and mighty wash from npk. This is my go to pest prevented because its extremely cheap to make and a fail proof recipe.

It worked because you probably used the combo, ladies and gentleman, one of the main plants spider mites go after in the outdoors? is peppers. Ok, sure, they probably won't fuck with habanero peppers, but think about that for a second. This does kill on contact because it's the second strongest pepper in the world, along with ghost chilli. You have to make the extract strong enough to where you need very good protective gear or man it up if you wanna cover a big amount if circumference, turn of all fans, drench everywhere everything, it's a mission if you grow big, easy if your grow is small. If it's not bothering you much, it's not strong enough and won't kill them.

I repeat, I have recently learned one of the main targets for spider mites outdoors in peppers. It works but you have to mix it up with other things like the dude above did.

I recommend you guys read this thread, https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=192286&page=2

Mostly for this piece but other goodies in there as well.
"simply take some lavender sprigs( sticks with flower buds on them) and strip the flower buds off. take a 1 liter bottle, add a 1/4 cup or so of lavender flower buds. let soak for 48 hours, then strain the plant material out well. dilute 1:50 and spray your plants lightly on infected areas, make sure to get under the leaves. repeat in 5 days. so far everyone i have told it to and has tried it has had success in killing mites, coot said even the eggs die which is pretty cool."
