Glad to hear! Yeah the messing with the dog is a crucial step to good errl...

But yeah it's a lot of trial and error... The info should only be used as a basic guideline since this is all DIY stuff.

So I ran an oz of shake/small nuggets... ended up with 5.4g of some reallly good shit. Pretty good yield!


Hey benassi.... Does heating/melting down the oil gently (around 160F) for like 10-15 minutes make it shatterglass?

I'm not sure if this room is just really cold, or if it turned to more of a shatterglass texture after I had it sitting on the volcano @ 160 f for like 10-15 minutes.

It's realllly good either way. pics later.

I really don't know what actually creates shatter... I do know, like any consistency, it has mostly to do with the strain you're running. But I have theories that have in turn made me some shatter... whether it's coincidence or luck.

Before I started vac'ing and I cooked off my butane, right after scraping it for the last time in the pyrex and before storing it on PP or an errl dish... I tossed it in the freezer for only 10-15 seconds. Seemed that supercooling it from a molten state turned it right to hard, glass-like shatter oil. Popped right off the razor blade, and softened up with hand heat.

I need to figure out what's wrong with my yieldage. I think I need to work on my tube packing (no pun... queers ) because this 12% yield crap is annoying me.

I notice a better yield with grinded nugs (not ground to dust) (& in my 4 piece space case). Just packing evenly and letting the tane flow better im finding helps




but benassi. Get this! the handle on my damn MIGHTY VAC broke! LOL I was pumping it so long I guess the plastic heated up and basically ripped. I still have the receipt to Sears so back it goes. LOL hopefully getting a refund then buying that $70 electric pump you showed me on amazon.

I've got a food saver that pumps it out to -18hg.. so I start with the food saver and finish with the mighty vac... but it broke on the 4th purge when it was at -24hg LOL

Hahahahahaha! I always think that's going to happen because I pump the shit out of that thing. Guess when and if that happens to me I'll be going electric as well.

Hey guys. Love the thread, thanks so much for all the useful info. Started buying my supplies last night, going to get the rest today (with any luck). Should be making BHO this evening or tomorrow. I'll post pics. I think I have about 6 oz or so of high quality trim to do something with. Before I've always made butter (to cook with) and bubble hash, but DAMN that gooey is looking SOOOOOOO Good. Can't wait to try this out. I'll post pics for sure.

anyone made their own bho tube? I'm going to have a go n was wondering if you guys had any input. Im looking to use 1.5 inch steel tube threaded with 2 end caps, tube 16inch long. im either going to get a tap n die kit n thread it myself or if poss get a length pre threaded. which in the uk seems harder than you'd think.

I was going to use pvc as its a lot cheaper but it reacts badly to butane. i was wondering maybe the gas pipe spec stuff they put under the roads to your house maybe? i cant seem to find the exact type of plastic they use in the Honey Bee. its probably food grade but i cant confirm either way.

The same thing happend to a buddy of mine, he just snapped the handle on the mityvac. He went to do the same thing as you, go return and get a electric pump but they ended up just replacing his mityvac for free. So i guess he's waiting a little longer on that electric pump.

I would recommend finding stainless steel if you want to make your own, that or blow some glass tubing.

I'm going to argue that my online motorcycle supply store sells a metal handled one for the same price! Ill say that I was very dissatisfied with the plastic one, and if they can't get me metal then I want a refund! I don't think a metal one exists so





As far as the stainless steel tube. I'm loving my Okeef tube!

Each end is completely open, one end you use a stainless steel screen and hose clamp, on the other end you use a RUBBER cork with a little plastic piece in it that allows you to dispense the butane with zero leaks!

Super duper easy stuff. Worth the $55 if you run a lot of oil, I've already ran (with NO issues) like a half pound+ through mine in the 2.5 months since I got it.

It holds like 28-29.5 g grinded buds... perfect!

Alright, so here's where I'm at. Got me 2 cans of Vector, brown filters, 2 pyrex dishs, mityvac, a mason jar, razor blades, parchment paper, and a bunch of trim. Just waiting on the extraction tube to be delivered. I went to 3 walmarts and 2 BB&B, not one had stainless steel basters. They all said they stock them during the holidays. I found glass BHO tubes on ebay. They have 1/4, 1/2, 1, 4, and 16 oz versions. A freaking pound of trim would definitely make a lot of honey oil, eh? I got the 1oz version for US$47 delivered. lol....what day did you order your tube?? Cause we just ordered the same thing from the same place and it is estimated to be delivered at the same time! We don't have quite as much trim as you but we are going to be running the sugar trim and lower popcorn buds from our Chem D plant. Should be some BOMB oil, though, the trim smells like grapes and in our experience whatever smell the trim has gets concentrated into the oil, so can't wait!

Here are a couple pics of the stuff we made the other day. We've been using our small 10G tube, but gonna save the rest of our trim and tane for when we get the Oz tube.
