Neo-conservatism killed America's economy and exploded it's debt through expansion of the millitary, the cutting of taxes in the top tax bracket, and the outsourcing of labour.
And don't tell me that labour left America because of the unions. It was because the right wing encouraged free trade with asshole countries who have no ethics and threat their citizens like slaves.
Anyone who supports this agenda is either rich or dupe, medicine man may be bad at arguing but he is right about that.
If anybody says that being a conservative is about taking care of yourself, ask them why the republicans don't want to make Wal-Mart, the auto companies, the banks and and big Corn "take care of themselves".
Corporate welfare has caused America so much harm, and it is really said that some who are in the struggling middle class are tricked into thinking that social welfare is somehow worse.
If the repubs had their way, there wouldn't be a middle class.

No one has every given me anything. I've paid more taxes than any benefit I will ever receive.

This thread is definently showing a trend that those of the left persuasion are in the lower income brackets and those that are above 50K, generally speaking are on the right. It so prefaces any arguement about politics, income or wealth status that I thought it would clear up the myths surrounding wealth/income and political leanings. The truth seems to be, if you've got money, you vote right, if you are in the underclass, you vote left. there are a few surprises, like the wannabees that vote against their own best interests, I guess because they see themselves as being wealthy someday, a pretty futile view, but then we're not talking rocket scientists for this group. BTW, I didn't start this thread to be nosy, just to get a comparison. I could care less how much anyone makes, but when it comes to political leanings, there is definently a trend.

Hey man I'm poor as they get and I have to say I dont agree with you you cant just put ppl into two classes like that "rich and poor" its alot more complicated then that. I know alot of nice rich ppl who would give you the shirt off of there backs if you needed it, not all rich ppl got there by doing nothing and not all of them are assholes. Although i admit that the " I'm better then you so fuck off " attitude really pisses me off haha (like there shit dont stink) lol

That sounds like you are talking out your ass, i've never whined or cried on this site. I've tried to shame assholes like yourself, but to no avail. I am not blaming anyone for my predicament, which aint that bad really. I own my own home, drive nearly new vehicles, paid for I might add, live very comfortably and owe no-one except for a small mortguage payment. So where you got that I was crying or blaming others for my life is beyond me. I guess you are just the consumate asshole. You'll garner no respect from me.
