way to introduce yourself
Society puts pressure on men to look good too, not just women. People tend to only think girls feel pressure to look good, I was a fat kid for about 18 years of my life and it sucked. I never wanna go back!
Garden Knowm, you seem to be able to understand what baked poeple are trying to say so here it goes .
I feel that looks are as important as anything else. And while that sounds shallow, i think that whoever you will be with will be the absolute end all to be all for yourself, and therefore will be as beautiful as the breaking dawn.
And maybe I'm not expressing myself right. Peoples character shines through on most people and distorts even the best of beauty. On the same token it can make those of even less than average looks seem so much better.
Fuck it, I like them all. As said by gatsby "Love is a dunghill, and i am simply a cock that crawls upon it to crow."
Hi 40.. you shallow piece of shit... LOL..
just kidding of course
LOOKS are so important !!!! Wait a minute.. maybe "important "is not the correct. word..
Looks are relevant. Looks contribute. Looks alert.
A bee notices a flower because of its color... it perobably does not know "beauty".. because beauty is an analysis of color... so although a bee does not discriminate on the level of "looks", it does judge based on color...
And the bee does not judge because of society, or peer pressure, or to make HIM/HERself feel better.... it is a matter of survival..
As humans, many of us have fooked up radar... our judgment is off...
Our judgment often brings anguish upon ourselves... we see an enemy in our loved ones... we see beauty in sickness...
Clarity reveals beauty in almost everything...
One man's beheading is another man's exposure to the most fabulously charged color of flowing red..
What do we choose to see?

before i get called any more names,, let me throw some things out.
Arent we as a species supposed to propagate? Isnt it vital that the best genes are passed down? Why would one pick an inferior mate? And i swear I'm not being an asshole, but it has been studied that women are attracted to a safe secure male for 3 weeks out of the month, and super attracted to the rugged, tough, good looking guys for the other week. Why, because the alpha males have better genes.
Im not saying its right, but nature plays a huge role in our picking of a partner.
damn, i wish I would have said thatIm a perfect example of what women want
another great bit of info...
the problem is, that people use this information to defend their ignorance.. it is just information and should not be used to justify getting gang raped... not that you were doing that...
information is just information...
people then twist and analyze that information to fit their own agenda..
which is not wrong... but it can lead to being with a REAL CUNT... LOL

totally flew over my head
Gang rape may actually be a more modern.. "invention". I know of no instances in the natural primate world of such a thing that is used for the same reasons humans use it. That is to say that, in the animal world one could likely surmise that gang rape is simply the frenetic attempts by many males to pass along their genetic material, whereas in the human arena its use is decidedly more nefarious -- to subjugate, intimidate, and bring power over an individual or group of people.what i mean.. is.. we are wired to pick a mate based on looks and hip size etc.. but we should not let that be the criteria to do stupid things..
male ducks can team up on a female duck and they all try and have sex with her..
they use limited criteria when picking a mate... humans should not say that it is OK to do the same..
some people may suggest that gang rape is natural cause ducks do it....
bad example.. but now you may see where I am coming from...
I don't blame television for this, that's too trite, too easy. And, face it, Knowm, we've been fucked up for FAR, far longer than we've had television, including regarding our choices in mates. The human brain is incredibly complex and is a fascinating area of study. There are SO many influencing factors that we cannot even begin to ascribe certain behaviors to any but the largest subsets.plus, most peoples radar for what OUR natural predisposition is when choosing a mate is all fooked up.... it only takes a few years of watching TV to get the radar all fooked up...

I would agree that television and other media definitely skew perspective. However, I also assert that our brains' complexity skews plenty already. Just look at certain phobias, the kind that make no sense whatsoever, like a phobia of feathers. No one has been killed or suffered bodily harm from feathers, yet there are people out there who are phobic about feathers. What triggers our brains, and thus our behavior, is extremely complicated and more than we understand right now.Hi Maiden,
Blaming TV solely is a bit heavy handed .... Let's just say that TV is or can be.. or often is a contributor to skewed perspective...
phobia of feathers is the same as phobia of snakes and phobia of heights and phobia of terrorists... they are all the same... NO differenceI would agree that television and other media definitely skew perspective. However, I also assert that our brains' complexity skews plenty already.
