How loud are RUCK inline fans?

Your fan should be a lot noisier at lower speeds than the one I am planning on buying because it hums at lower rpm.
This one:http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/Growroom-Products-20/-In-Line-Fans-Fan-Filter-Deals-108/RUCK-Temperature-Controlled-Fans-1250.asp
150-L has 4 windings and switches between them to change speed.
The two fans would be probably only comparable if yours ran at full power and mine at ca half.
I guess I'll have to just buy it and see/hear.

an expert on fans now?????????

^This is none of your business from now on.

My thread was clearly asking for a first hand/ear experience on the noise level of a TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED fan. You never even saw/heard one, polluted my thread with unsolicited advice on how to wrap nuts in towels and something about a duck-ape covering his fanny, wanted reputation that I gave you, went on to repeatedly insult me and asking sarcastic questions.

Apologize or stay out of my threads. This here will be your only warning.

loud as ruck..
hopefully greens will let me return my ruck 4inch low power + sms controller the hum was awful with the sms even at full speed.
even without the controller it still seemed to hum a lot but the airflow masked it mostly.

I tried sticking it in a box and packed it with clothes and it didn't make barely any difference, my flat has thin walls so there's no way I could have gotten away with that setup, I think the smell would be less likely to get me caught LOL

I'm going to get an stk voltage stepping transformer and a td-silent instead

You could always apply noise cancelling foam they use in recording rooms any what not. Tear the walls down, insulate it with foam insulation, or line the entire room with Reflectix should also lower the noise down a bit. Always best to have a fan hanging from a chain or wire instead of actually mounted to something.

lol if I tore the wall down there I could probably see straight into next door :D
my flat is only one room wide with a hallway separating one side so I need to be as quiet as possible, I've heard some people claim they got their TD-silent quieter than their PC and my comp is pretty noisy (big ass lian li full size tower with 6x 100mm fans) so I need something about as quiet as a fridge/freezer and TD-silent seems my only option.

the separating walls must be the thinnest I've ever experienced, I can hear even when next door flick a switch on the wall or cough , although I can't hear them talking and if they have a TV on I can only hear it if i put my ear to the wall.

I can't see how anyone could ever get true stealth with a ruck I could hear it even from my living when it was at 40%, I've got a DS60II at the minute but want to move to a growdrobe for ultimate stealth at some point for when I have visitors or my 8year old son over.

As I said even without the controller the ruck still hummed loudly until it got up to about 80% speed and sounded like a mini turbine so even a variac wouldn't have helped to quiet it down
