The reason your seeing so much mixed reading on it is because it’s been a debate for the last decade. So it’s fairly a new transition of practice. Your gonna have the rough old school riders that beg to differ
Sounds good. I was just looking for a reason as to why its always different. I was thinking more of the "bro science" aspect. As i see a lot of that going around. So ill feed to the end and cut after my 2 days of water

Here’s the thing that baffles most people.

plants uptake nutrients in IONIC form.

salt based nutrients are already in IONIC form for easy uptake.

organic nutrients require a micro herd to convert the organic compounds into IONIC form for uptake by the roots.

the plant DOES NOT know the difference between inorganic or organic ions.

once IONS are taken into the plants vascular system they cannot be removed

Yeah. I typically feed all the way up till I have my final water. And that’s because I’m about to chop. And might as well save the cup or so of nutrition (if bottled) because I’m chopping anyhow.

These were my last run of 2 plants under a 400w HPS using a scrog and very near harvest.

some harvested buds and how my room looks now with a @MarsHydrofactory FCE3000 and yes that plant is plugged into the matrix lol.

Also ive fed all fox farm nutrients at full strength all thiugh veg from week 4
that is maybe why you have some crispy leaves in their. I would do half the strength and not sure which one but one of them you cut out think it’s the grow big during the last 3-4 weeks

That PH wouldn't hurt them in any way, it's pretty common actually. Full strength Fox Farms will definitely fry most plants though. If you aren't using a tds pen, that would be a great next step to dial in your grow, that way you know exactly how much you are feeding them and can easily raise or lower it in a controlled manner. Good luck!

Right on! That looks awesome. Currently im running an ac infinity 3x3 with a mars tsw 2000. Seems to work pretty good.

Heres a pic of the 3 autos i ran last.
By these 3 pics of buds I would say you harvested before the final swell of the bud as it looks airy and light.

I thought i did pretty well... shit.... I pulled 11 ounces off 3 autos. So youre saying it wouldve been more?

Wow. I got almost a quarter pound per autoflower at 22 inches tall.

Well we all gotta start somewhere right.

The TSW2000 is 300w right?

As a seasoned grower you should be able to pull well over 300g from the light.

I’m expecting but not banking on 350-450g from the FCE3000.

however this is my first run using the LED.

With 400w HPS I was between 350-450g.

Yes it is 300 watts. Pulled 312 grams off those 3 plants in a 3x3 with tsw2000

So i should be shooting more for like 2-3 gpw rather than 1 is what you're saying.

sorry totally misread that.

Its been a long week with my wife in the hospital and 2 kids at home.

But considering i have no idea what im doing, ill take 1gpw. Considering my first grow was .25 per watt in a 2x2 with ts1000.

The only thing I tell people is to improve from the time before.

you showed your buds I said they looked light and airy like they hadn’t swelled up.

based on that assumption yes you should have pulled more than 11oz lol.

you’re doing great and I’m not knocking you in anyway just something to consider is making sure the buds look ripe before you start checking Trichomes (if you check trichomes that is)

I appreciate all the info, havent taken it as you were knocking me, just trying to help. I Definitely check trichomes, i have horribly shaky hands though so its not the easist task for me. When i checked the trichomes they were all milky and 10-15% amber on the calyx not the leaf so i let them go another week and chopped. Maybe i shouldve let them go another 2 or 3. Oh well as long as i learn from the mistakes made, all is well!

Here’s the trick.

Wait for the pistils to have ALL turned brown and receded back into the calyx.

then begin checking Trichomes.

You can start checking trichomes from week 4/5 of flower and find enough evidence to warrant harvesting even though the plant isn’t ripe.
