how long after seeds germinate and are planted in soil do they break ground?

hi guys ive germed 4 seeds paper towel method. 1 lowryder #2 and 3 easyryders. they all showed tap root within 36 hours. I then placed them in ffof moistened soil and are currently getting 18/6 under a 150 hps sun light. how long does it take for them to break ground? its been almost a full 2 days now and nothing.....

sometimes they will just grow in a circle in the soil and never sprut up. i give mine till the 3rd day n carefully check them if they look like they are growing in a circle i point them in the right direction

Personally I don't get the paper towel thing. :? Maybe I am old school stubborn and set in my ways.

A $10 seed, in its very own 25 cent jiffy pellet, root riot cube, stg cube, oasis cube, or plain old fashioned seedling cell full soil... it would have popped already, and you dont disturb it or transplant until it has roots, and few leaves.

thanks im new to this and just anxious and want to do everything write. im sure ill be o.k i just want to see my babys already!

Depends on how deep you have planted them an avoided damaging the taproot.
I keep my seeds in the dark untill they sprout at 74* and 80% humidity in a propogator.

its weird me and a buddy of mine had some bag seed and just threw them out of an apartment window, (first floor) they feel behind some bushes we didn't plant them we didn't carefully place them we just threw them out. like 4 days later all of them had popped up.

Basically what i think happened is the gardeners came by the complex fertilized the regular plants in the area thus buried the seeds under the fertile dirt and then mother nature took care of the rest. Simply put i find it strange that tender loving care seems to stunt the plant from popping and carelessness makes them thrive.

on that note I'm also waiting for mine to pop, i dug up my baby seed and i saw that it had germinated i saw a white shoot coming out and it was aiming itself towards the bottom of the party cup. i covered it up and now i'm just waiting for it to pop. =/ So i'm gonna wait a couple more days to see what's up with my baby (oh and its been less than 48 hours since i saw it had germinated)
