Got me off most some of my meds. Especially the pain killers. Wish it could take me off all my meds.

I suffered with Ulcerative Colitis for 6 years. This condition is exacerbated by stress and anxiety. I was on several different meds ie pain killers, benzos, steroids, anti-inflammatory etc etc. These never worked successfully and of course wreaked havoc on my liver, kidneys, etc etc. I had stopped smoking in 1997. But, in Nov of 2009 I found about an 1/8 in a hospital hallway. I went home and rolled my 1st joint in 13 years. My symptoms have severely decreased. No more anxiety, no more stress, no more panic attacks. I wish I could say the ganja cured my UC. But, after 6 years of being chained to my toilet, in 2006 I had my colon removed and I am now an ostomate. I can't help but think that if I had smoked all those years I suffered I would still have a colon. Thanks to re-discovering this miracle medicine I have become a grower and it is the best, most fun and rewarding hobby I have ever had. Not too mention I have met some really cool people on RIU. And, with all the recent political movements, I am excited that I may see complete legalization in my lifetime. And that my friends will change the world!

It mellows me right out and then I can get things accomplished. Otherwise I take on way too much work and get nothing completed.

Sativa Rules.

Edit: In regards to health. Yes, it has made a big difference - when my neck goes haywire and the pains shoot out from behind my ears downward and it hurts so much you're afraid to breathe, I take one pill and smoke one. Otherwise I'd have to take so many pills that all I do is sleep.

Sativa still rules

cannabis has been a double-edged sword for me. it was my bastion in a life of pain, and know helps me medicinally, but cannabis has also, at times, stolen my drive, and made me forgetful. give and take.......like the rest of life.
