How do you use Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro?

My water quality report lists levels of calcium as Ca ion separately from hardness as CaCO3 and in a 1:4 ratio.
So does mine but in a ratio of 1:3. The best thing to do is call your local water plant and ask them specifically where that Ca is coming from. The vast majority of my Ca comes from calcium carbonate. There is a little that comes from the calcium chloride in road salt runoff but it's negligible.

Regardless of the Ca source, you want to work with near pure water and let your minerals come in a balanced form from your plant food.

Heres the formula that works for ME. After about 6 weeks I have nothing crazing looking going on.

-Veg Tent: Using Mars2 LED: I mix this in a 5 gallon bucket so that I dont have to make water all the time. Note: these are the amounts for the 5 gallons
- 10ml protekt
- 2.5ml foliage
- 25ml calmag+
- 10ml hydroguard
- 7.5ml ph down

- Flower tent: 600 watt HPS that is run at 75% power because I am not there except once a week and dont want anything to get fried due to temps etc. This is done in a 5 gallon bucket as well.
- 10ml protekt
- 10ml hydroguard
- 2.5ml foliage
- 5ml calmag+
- 6.2ml ph down.

Now if I can figure out my friggin tomatoes lol. They looked great for 4 weeks and then just suddenly took a turn for the worse. Weed counts as a vegetable anyway right? I figure every night Im having a salad lol!

Medium: Pro-Mix HP with Mycorrhizae
Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro at 3.33 ml / gallon
Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt at 0.83 ml / gallon

w/ tap water (Denver) at about 140 ppm for total of 400~ ppm / 0.8 EC

Here are my test plants at day 4 flower

I have read people posting here that someome got 10% better yields with FP than with Bloom.

My questions are numerous... sure yields may be better, but there are other factors involved...

1) Is flowering going to take longer with high N formula? So your seed-to-harvest time could take longer and potentially hurt your overall yields calculated over a period of time?

2) Is budsite potency affected? Typically larger buds will have more surface area and mass and THC% by weight could potentially be affected? Especially important for those of us planning to use the product for processing concentrates.

3) Is average bud density going to be affected? Maybe FP increases bud-sites or bud size but hurts your density or aesthetics in some way?

I have been using FP on this run and have had problems with yellowing fan leaves since early flower, and even some sweet leaf tips dying on me. I use about 2.5 mL per gallon... definitely frosty buds bud not as dense as expected and also not finishing very quickly, 8 week strains are at about 9 weeks now.

I use Auto Pot system with Promix HP tap water less then 0.1 EC
in Veg I use nothing but FP at 0.6 EC
I've tried FP all the way through with Auto Pot but in some strains I'll get a deficiency in some strains so I add Pro Mag.
In flower:
Dyna Bloom 0.6 EC
Dyna Mag Pro 0.3 EC
Dyna FP 0.4 EC
Sometimes I just run FP at 1.0 EC with Mag Pro 0.3 EC. Seems to work fine also

I run Promix HP with 2ml FP almost all the way through (I do skip feeding here and there if all looks well) with 1ml of Protekt every other watering. I also add florolicious at 1ml during flower. Simple and very effective with no burn whatsoever. I havent noticed any slowing in flower since swithing to FP alone as almost everything Ive run takes 9 weeks regardless.
