How do you use a microscope in tent?

Does your microscope take video? I just got one myself and have found that if I make a video, trying to stay within focus distance, I can then slowly “frame” through the video seeking the best still images to capture.

I know other people also remove nugs to examine them closely, though that’s unnecessary.

your images seem clear enough though.

Great idea, I'll try this next time I open the tent. Thanks!

A little work with a file to shape the flimsy plastic base to fit my tripod and voilà, it's steady as a rock. My scope has a wifi box to capture the pics to my phone but has lower resolution than when hooked directly to my computer. Still allows me to take pics of the living plants without dragging a laptop in there.

Tbh, I would recommend learning to recognize the signs of ripeness other than the trichomes - pistils receding, bracts swelling, etc. Microscopes are fiddly enough trying to look at a nug on a tabletop, much less on a branch swaying in the breeze...

I'm sure we all do.

It's not ready. Wait until most of the pistils are receded and calyx's swollen. No harm in taking a popcorn bud off and drying it to get an idea, but whatever you do don't use the microwave for it, lol.
Can you show me an example of pre-receded & receded on one of your plants. Thanks man

An almost mature Pura Vida clone from Bodhi. I still gave it another week+ though. But it would've been fine to chop then.

A Clone only Green Crack not as receded at 8 weeks.

So the "receding" are you saying they go from outwards reaching / spikey to curled up & closer to bud. Or do they literally retract into the bud. Still a bit confused.

Killer plants btw!
