It's really hard to do until you have enough practice. I did it in high school, but it's been more than 20 years now.
I found a variation on youtube, we just stopped the bottle ourselves, we didn't tap it against our heels like this guy.

If you have bubbly I suggest using a waterpipe and banger to dab it.
Old school hash was made using silk screen to sift, it was made with bud, fields and fields of it. Not a fan of bubbling hash, it used to mean they cut it with some kind of crap. Bubbling is preferred. The best extracts are "full melt" which means when you hit them they bubble and dissipate entirely leaving absolutely no residue left. btw full melt comes in a lot of forms. First time I had some it was static dry sift kief which I enjoyed thoroughly and hope to make some of my own one day.

What your talking about is bubble bag hash and its absolutely fine to smoke once dried. Even if not pressed. I'd only smoke the 25 micron though.
In fact I prefer it for adding to my joints and bowls un pressed. It burns easier.

I Use "bubble hash" that has been frozen and grated. Then dried in the freezer. Glass bubbler, "bong", with 4 oz water. Pack a bowl of bud. Top with some hash. Fire and enjoy.

There should be no reside but a small amount of black or grey ash that can be lightly tapped out. Ive smoked 50 pulls in a dab rig with my bubble and the water + rig are still clean; turn slightly golden yellow. Compared to oil which gunks up a rig in 2 or 3 rips with dark gross smelling resin. dab itAin't tried mine. LOL. I don't use the nail for hash. Hate cleaning it afterwards.
