On another note why are some Americans so scared that they need a gun for protection? Protection from what? Most end up shooting themselves with it...
Are people that afraid to sleep in their own home or walk down their street thinking some bogey man is going to come get them?
I shoot from time to time and have done since I was a kid but a gun has never made me feel safer. Are Aussie just more confident or is it education or? Is it our social beliefs?

So if a person who is behaving peacefully has weapons, and another person with a badge comes to them and threatens them...who is the aggressor ?
If the peaceful, but civilly disobedient person refused to give up his weapons, would your police shoot them?
