lol i need to read more, no clue what backcross means i know people shorten it to bx but thats it...

Here are a few formulas for Bx

Example 1:

step 1) A X B = F1

step 2) A X F1 = BC1

step 3) A X BC1 = BC2

step 4) A X BC2 = BC3 (<-- Souls "cube")

Example 2:

step 1) A X B = F1

step 2) A X F1 = BC1 (if we went A X F2 the progeny is still a BC1)

step 3) BC1 X BC1 = B1F2

step 4) A X B1F2 = BC2

step 5) BC2 X BC2 = B2F2

step 6) B2F2 X B2F2 = B2F3

step 7) B2F3 X B2F3 = B2F4

step 8) A X B2F4 = BC3

so a good breeder would be one where say in a pack of 10 you will find a good phenotype on average and a bad breeder maybe 30 seeds to find one on average?
that sounds pretty reasonable to me, but remember what is good to you might not be so good
to another, its personal preference, so all that matters is you find something you like
weather the genetics comes from a popular breeder or not
you really should find something good enough to keep for a while in a pack of 10, or buying any 10 seeds would be a waste of money
but perhaps you shouldn't expect to find the best plant you ever smoked when just going through 10 seeds
