How do I check my soil's ph guys?

This is my first post. I don't wish to waste any of your time, so here it is:

I know enough to know that any time I have a problem it is because of my soil's pH. This time, the leaves are curling inward, like claws! Sometimes it's "deficiencies" (actually pH lockout) and sometimes it's yellowing, drooping leaves, you get the idea.

I was given those jars with the pills (one for each N-P-K and one for pH, with green pills) and I not only need to know how to use them, I'm going to look that up now. I'm also about to look up how to PROPERLY use all the nutrients I have (A/N Sensi Bloom, VooDoo Juice, Botanicare calmag and silica, G/H florablend and bioroot, superthrive, Mendo Avalanche bud hardener, FUCK ME, do I mix it ALL together? I know its feed water water feed but I CAN'T FIND any reliable info on how to USE THESE PRODUCTS TOGETHER.

So, to clarify, how do I use my GH pH down to set my happy frog to the right pH? And does anyone know how I should be using the products I have collected over the last year? I'm still SUCH a newbie... :(

I'm a shy person, I can't believe people help each other with each other's problems, so if ANYBODY replies, with anything, I'd like very much to thank you in advance. Seriously, if you can help, it would be massively appreciated.

Wait, I know how to do the ml/L and how to mix things like the Mendo Avalanche and what weeks to use these things on, my question is, do I throw them all together in my two gallon sprayer, on top of my base nutrients? And with pH perfect, you still have to set the ph and watch out for swings w/ stuff like silica, correct? Sorry I'm so inarticulate with this stuff. I love growing but it's so hard for me to use the internet to learn, I need to read it all in one place, or be told.

My first statement is why the hell did you buy all that crap! Research them all for their purposes. Some are more veg, others are for times in flower. I myself go Dynagro for its simplicity. Ultimately, you don't need all that stuff and are more likely to do damage than improve the grow.

Silica doesn't impact the others and go in every feeding. It does raise PH. CalMag you probably don't need unless you are using RO water.

Adjust everything that goes in to the plant to 6.5 PH and the soil should stay fine. You can topdress the soil with some dolomite lime to bring it close to 7 but shouldn't be necessary if using happy frog.

Alot of guys that use soil dont really bother with the ph of the soil.
The ph up and down is for water. As long as keep the water and nutes ph'd the soul should be fine.
If u see deficiencies you can adjust as u go.
Dont buy stuff til u need it.

Get a pH meter like blue Lab or equivalent. You Could Add Some Dolomite To Help Buffer the Soil and Flush soil

LOL It was all given to me by my good friend who is so good at buying needless crap it's amzing. iDK about useless though, I dig the VooDoo (which is used first week of flower.)

Man If I could afford a REAL pH meter I'd have never posted this thread.

Thanks so much you guys. I got a kick out of that.

I use RO btw, so that's what the calmag was for. Hey, you guys, my hydro store guy says that mykos and the pro bacteria all die in two weeks and that I must buy his expensive shit bi weekly. He's fucking me around, isn't he? I should burn that motherfuckers shit down. jk. *EDIT* Unless of course, he is correct.

You pH your water. Most soil growers don't worry about pH. The soil buffers.

The correct way to test pH of soil is. Take an amount of soil and mix it with equal parts deionized water, mix and test. I guess you could use distilled water.

Don't test runoff. The pH of runoff is just that, it does not tell you the true pH of soil.

I think it he biggest problem is your making it complicated. Kiss. Keep it super simple.

And that is why most of them guys that do not ????? run into issues .
They copy someone's soil recipe Sub cool etc and should have no issues if they cooked it long enough
if person is making his own from scratch , this is a different story, and PH is rather important ,
we cannot blindly add bone meal blood meal , Dolomite lime this is where soil testing really comes into play
for the serious grower .

As for your question checking soil ph is the first step.. ANY GROWER SHOULD DO BEFORE GOING NUTS When problems occur,,,, surely before you start hammering it with that guess it was a def issue ?? when in fact its was a lock out PH ISSUE

Common sense peeps REALLY ...

How i check my PH in soil when i make it fresh and during grow cycle is
add 1 cup of soil
4 cups of 7.0 water mix good lets stand for 5 mins re stir and ph check
you can even check ec / ppm
or is it 2 cups of soil and 4 cups of water fucking DABS are killer haha

them Ec / ppm pens and PH pens are number 1 needs even in organic its a fail safe to get to the root problem
