At one point or another it's going to be stinky (especially if you have good genetics.)



You can get low odor strains, and the best carbon filter on the market and you might be alright. But even at harvest it sometimes smells.



I've seen a lot of people do successful apartment grows so it can surely be done. But in my experience there's almost always some smell at some point in the grow.


I greatly value your comment. I am confident that during the harvesting and trimming process, there may be a certain level of odor. However, my goal is to minimize the smell as much as possible, without it being a constant issue.

To be honest, she's aware that I smoke, but the issue is her discovering that I grow. Currently, in the city I'am in, I'm known as a respectful, hardworking individual with a PHD. It's crucial that I maintain my reputation. i know for some people it sound silly but people have no culture or understanding for hemp. for them its a hard drug

wouldnt putting AC and airpurifair in same room where is my grow box located solve the problem ?

No smell in my 3x3 tents with 4” fans and filters. Really can’t have too much airflow or the filter won’t scrub it properly

Doing everything it takes to run a grow properly , either a sealed one with dehumidifier, scrubbing, added co2, or a non sealed one with an active air exchange. Will be noisy , so regardless of the smell it's not going to be secret to people living in the same apartment.

This is a good comment. I was aiming to put an AC and air purifier in the same room so I can keep the room cold and also remove any smells. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There is only one solution, be that person. But faking it never works. I eschewed pot for a lot of years for my profession. It will wait. Best of luck with this.

I want to assure you that I am not faking about anything. i work hard and i keep improving my self. Smoking pot does not make me any less of a person. In fact, I believe that there is nothing wrong with smoking, especially since it has helped me more than my medicines. However, the society here does not approve of it. I come from a place where it was considered normal, but I understand that it is not the same here.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying pot makes you any less of a person. If it does I'm in real trouble but you can't hide a grow. I come from a time when you went to prison for a roach. I get the necessity of stealth. What I'm trying to tell you is you can't hide growing from someone who lives in the same domicile. It won't happen. So at this point you have two choices while living semi-publicly, live the pretense or be caught trying to hide it.

But if living that pretense is important and god knows it was for me then you can't grow with a roommate and not be caught. So I wish you well but if that image is important I would not try to grow. Best of luck on this.

Nota Bene: There is one other option, have a heart to heart with your room mate. But the first rule of growing is tell no one. But that is one more option.
