Well, the fact that Keyes is a Republican has nothing to do with the fact that he's a great statesman. One of the few true statesmen in the country these days.

Well, considering that politics is a war of ideas, Alan Keyes IS making things happen.

Rhetoric is rhetoric, no matter whom trys to foist it on you. The same can be said of the left, Hell I think I have some good ideas, unfortunately, others don't, so my Ideas are just rhetoric also. But this an Idea exchange forum, right?

That it is Med ... that it is.

So I've finally got it eh. Well it's about time for you to start coming over to my side, at least meet me in the middle. Isn't that what idea exchanges are supposed to do, end up in mutual territory, either that or war, which is where most end up now! all you got to do to be in my territory is admit we need a progressive tax to balance out the rich-poor thing. We agree on most other things like freedom and pot growing. And I'll bet you even bet on the Seahawks once in a while. When the rams were in Anaheim They were my team also but when they moved to St' Louis, Bye-Bye!

Well, I did have some reservations about the Rams' move, but I've been a fan since the 1940s. Damn, that's a LONG time.

On the political issues at hand ... no offense, but I will never move over to "your side." I used to be there, right where you are, until I got mugged. *lol*

I guess I'm still waiting to be mugged, I'll probably fight back, depends on how ferocious the muggers are. What you consider mugging, I consider paying my dues to society. I don't think I like it any more than you, but consider the necessity of the plunder to operate the infrastructure. The problem is the govt. asses don't spend it in the right places, thats my main gripe. I see the need for taxation, but also see the need for civilian oversight. BTW your excise or consumer tax thingy, will never fund the leviathon that now exists! You're dreamin!

You may be right, Med. But then, if the government would just stay within the confines of the Constitution, there would be PLENTY of money to fund the government.
