His policies are clear. Nobody can say it was some back room maneuver. He's represented that district for years. From what I've read of him, I'd prefer somebody else but this is not my choice to make. It is up to the voters in that district to choose their representative. Maybe he'll lose this time. Whoever wins, I expect my congressmen to work with them to support the interests of my district.
Biden supports the Democrat. As should any Democrat.

Republicans are backing Engel because they don't want Bowman to win, because Bowman will actually effectively oppose Republican policy the same way AOC does. Engel tacitly supports Republican policy, the same way Schumer and Pelosi do. The only opposition from them is superficial, never policy oriented. Never structural changes.

Engel is a conservative Democrat in a deep blue district. You say you're progressive, you claim to support progressive causes. Why are you supporting the conservative Democrat in a deep blue district over the progressive challenger? Why is Schumer? He voted for the Iraq war, he voted against the Iran deal. The only reason to support him over Bowman would be because you want a more conservative member of congress to represent a very liberal district in NY. Why would you want that? Why are you trying to pretend like you don't support conservatives over Democrats in every race? Why can't you point to an exception to the rule?
Do you think any sitting Republican would support the more progressive incumbent over the more conservative challenger?

When did I say I'm progressive? I am a Democrat, but I have seen the trolling that the progressives are getting at best cat fished into believing is anything near anything other than a troll from the Russians/Republicans being used to get Trump re-elected.
I told you a couple times now why I would vote for the guy who IS PROVEN to vote against Russian interests and almost completely with the Democratic party. I can't vote for either guy, so what does it matter what I think?

So Engels conservatism in his voting for the Iraq war and against the Iran Deal, things like that have no merit in your consideration in choosing who you would support in the race against someone like Bowman? All that matters to you is whether they support whatever the party leadership supports? Whether they're a "loyal Democrat", regardless of their votes, conservative viewpoints, and white privilege? Bowman is black, what about diversity? All gone when the challenger taking on the establishment isn't white.. Nobody notices that, though..
