U kno... I love boldt bag... and use them every weekend. The only problem I find is that they are so TUFF... that there a bitch to roll over 5g buckets
That is the reason I went with another brand, and elevated mesh up the walls. The boldt bags have a slight taper so you cant turn them inside out over the bucket and pull up the screen all the way for easy spraying. Matt recommends Ice-o-lator bags which is what I will try next. Mine are essential bags from the trimshop, they work great but smell a bit new/funny still after 5 uses and have the dreaded waterproof liner that eventually flakes off. :-?

If you spray pressurized ice water down through the slow draining 25 (and any other small size mesh) you will clear out the gunk blocking the holes and it will DRAIN FASTER! Get a sprayer with a long neck or a hose wand for ease of use!

well everybody has their own ways, I don't need to turn mine inside out and I still spray em. but I respect the other methods as well.

technique defines speed of bags draining in my experience. that and how dirty it is lol.

never know, boldt bags might adjust theirs to make them able to do that. can always suggest it to em I'm sure.

thought I'd give you all an update.

I have since bought a 120 micron 5 gal bag from boldt bags, 2 more bags are on the way this week, 160 micron and 90 micron. after getting the 120 bag I was able to up the quality of my 73 micron hash to this

I will take pics of my whole set once the new bags come. the only one of my bags I'm not too impressed with photo wise is the old 220 bag I've been using since I got this set, it's well over a year old and it shows. but its screen size hasn't varied much, the 160 bag will catch what it doesn't and when I have the funds I"ll buy a new one.

right now they got free shippin going on I don't know for how long but I'm takin atvantage of it.

the new bags are easier to fold over buckets now, they made them wider, very glad they did this. anyone else use boldt bags?

peace

I just used mine the first time and my 32 gallon set is riddled with pin prick holes that are now pencil sized holes.

Can I tape with gorilla tape? There is ~NO~ warranty after they have been used.

I got mine in Eureka and I think they were factory rejects being passed around criagslist for free because the actual leak is at the seam and its on every fucking bag.

uhh this is not true...(as far as I know) I've contacted them AFTER using mine and took a picture of holes and they have replaced them for free. take a picture send them an email with your address and see what happens man.

no you cannot use gorrilla tape.

More bags ABOVE the micron sizes you want to smoke = better quality hash. I run all 8 on a given trim batch, then if one isn't yielding much and NOT RIGHT ABOVE my keepers (sometimes 120, always 90, 70, or 38) I will remove it out of time savings. However, every time you remove a bag from the set you risk lowering the purity of the next bag below it. Keep in mind too you don't HAVE TO wash and scrape every bag every run. As long as your in a coolish environment let it build up in small catching bags, you won't have as pure a given grade but it will save rinsing and collecting time. Also you can reuse your water on multiple runs, then run it all through the 25 if you wanna catch the 25 but not slow down all your pulls waiting for the slow drainer. If the boldt bags now fit inside out over a 5 bucket then I might give them a try. My buddy X bought a 3 bag set, made IWE with me once, then went and bought all the bags to do cleaner/better extracting IMO. He is still learning tho, not running a 38 and mixing all this amber hash in with the nearly always green 25 bag which can be good but is never top quality IME. Its really all about what you are shooting for, how much time you've got to extract, and of course, personal preference. Cheers poplars, I wish I had as much trim as you seem to! I hear you about the dirtyness of outdo trim in the desert man!

Eight bag set is a must for quality. The 160 is usually trash, but I have also got full melt from it (as well as the 120, 90, 73, 45, and 25). Trichome sizes vary is why you need them all. I have a set of Bolt Bags and they are way too stiff. For the best quality, you need to fold the bags over the buckets. To clean the bags, they need to be turned inside-out & then back again. I would not recommend them to anyone with hand and/or muscle problems. Yes the sides are tough, bfd. Are you worried about wearing-out the sides? I own more than 50 bags/screens and several brands. Without a doubt, the orignal Bubble Bags are the best bags. The fit the buckets properly, supple, tough, do not delaminate, and have top quality screens.
