Hey , Dummy Grow a Plant - Simple Soil Container Growing

SOG UPDATE :

Plants got their kelp watering today ( Saturday ) and are doing well - stacking up.

The Newer ones ( African Chill / Chill Bomb ) are starting to grow out. The Katsu Seed ( Gg4 x Pre98 bubba kush ) never really grew out in its solo cup - so it got disposed of.

Gonna pop another set to begin grow in front of tent then moved into the tier setup as the others over time.
Kind of a perpetual setup i guess.

All the same layered medium.

Man, lots of good information and well documented! Kudos Factory fresh noob here lol. Wife and I have been veggie gardening a couple years and thought we’d try this end of the spectrum. I’m doing a ton of reading and found this site earlier today. Stumbled across this thread exploring the grow room section and really glad I did. Thank you for this and everyone who’s shared so far

SOG BUDS

Not much going on with my sog plants , just blooming. I had a minor issue with one ( hungrier than the rest ) added a minor dry fertilizer to bump it.

Other than that , all on course.

After the African Chiil / Chill Bomb SOG plants i will go back to normal grow procedures- longer veg yada yada yada. Wanted to scratch off a SOG grow off my bingo card.

I did get some seeds from that male branch i had in that mason jar of water - awhile ago . I just brushed a few branches of a couple of plants last run ( urinal cake and another one.

Didn’t get a bunch but that was the plan so i can not waste tine storing a crapload of excess seeds. Seeds i had in long term storage such as Big Bomb and MI5 were failures ( non viable 3 years ) . So i will try to reduce amount of strains i store as many just get wasted.

Anyhow - here is some of the buds now forming and you can see the purp / blue tints in some.

Looks like the African Chill was a dude.

However the Chill bomb is just beginning to setup flowering. Sooooooo , i pulled this full male out of tent and sequestered the bastard to another room.

I think i will harvest a bit of this man pollen for some minor seedmaking on that chill bomb. All my other flowers are too far along.

Sometimes you gotta make piss out of lemonade or something like that - IDK im high.

New Blood

Well after a couple plants going sideways - figured i would pop some extras.

These will be vegged normally but am changing the the way i usually start them. I typically run either the XS1500 pro or Sun Blaze T5H0 rig ( 8 lamp ) but this time around i don’t have the luxury of having extra space ( for hanging that SunBlaze ) and didn’t want to remove the QB96 rig ( shown ).

So - i pulled the Pure UV Agromax bulbs and swapped in Pure Par VEG bulbs. They put out a blended Blue / Red and White spectrum ( hence the violet tone. ) They work pretty well to get things going.

Once they gain some size ( transplantable ) then i can kick on the QB96 when the times comes.

NO RULES

I'm still getting used to feeding the proper amount but budz, your guides are the ones I immediately started reading when I first found rollitup. I seriously appreciate all the posts.

Wow - nice girl

Looks like a minor PK bump is needed but glad you see that complicating a grow is just stupid.

Letting the host medium do the work just like a common houseplant.

I believe most of what you see is old damage, it seems like nothing has spread since I corrected it. It's a little hard to tell but I stare at her every day

On second thought maybe I'll add a little more to her feeding tomorrow.

JoeBud Breeding
Took some of that African Chill ( man pollen ) and dabbed up a branch of the Chill Bomb. I really didnt want to knock up the plant completely so i picked a stem and slathered on the loin love.

Wasn’t looking for a crapload of seeds either - maybe a handful to play around with. I kept the male for now ( pollen dumping ) and will give this girl another round in a few hours or tomorrow.

I also laid a tremendous air biscuit in the room to “ seal the deal “ - all my females love a good foghorn of appreciation after some animal T-Baggin.

First SOG in the jar.

Going back to the beginning, i guess i didn’t pay attention to the actual seeds i grew for this project. So its a mixed bag of strains ( musta been high ) ….

This one has a garlicky tone to it - so i will call it “ Marjorie’s Vag or Garlic Bread.

But she responded well to the UV enemas i hit her with over the grow. Frosty frost. Nugs have been jarred only 7 days and is getting hardened. I will leave it be maybe another week ( or memorial day schmokin ) . I normally would pull with a little more recede but … the triches were screaming white.

Thats why im gonna let profile settle in ( no hurry ) then roll a cone when the time comes.

Chop chop time on a few more SOG plants. I cut down 3 more plants and wanted to show you some nugs.
