Hermie or what?!

Hi everyone,

So this plant is early into week 2 Flowering, however, despite showing pistils as first sign of sex it’s now showing these as well:



Are these male preflowers, or just underdeveloped calyx.

Hey mate! I found in my own experience with hermies. Is that somewhere between the stretch period. (Week 2 - 3 of Bloom) is when males flowers start to appear. In my opinion, it is still to early too tell. Plant looks healthy from here.

It's not flowering yet at that point and would guess it's female due to you saying it had pistils already.

Thanks for the replies. By early week two I actually meant day 12 from 12/12 so closer to the end of week two rather than early.

And yes, the first pre flowers I noticed were pistils growing high up at the top (and they are doubling as expected) but in the last day I’ve seen these more of these “rounded growths” (see pics) coming in that look suspiciously male in shape - I’ve counted 4 so far over 3 stems.

This is a bag seed grow, so I understand the risk associated with hermaphroditism, however it would be a shame to lose this plant to male flowers as it’s got that old school skunk-like aroma, that absolutely stinks even in veg - something I’ve been looking for in a strain for sometime. Plus I just bought some killer bloom nutes and now just feels like a waste.

Wouldn't worry about it.

Well for me I honestly usually wait until sex shows for me in my one gals and then pot up and flower I use a trellis and Can’t afford that male popping up ignorantly. Hey has anyone seen this? Shocked me I haven’t
