Hi there I got some freebie seeds from herbies. Anyone grown their afghani reg seeds. They have no name on them.

If you have grown them. How long did they take to flower and what was it like?

They usually don't label their bulk regulars. They're usually strains that are being stabilized from various breeders.
I popped a bunch for experimenting purposes. Just Vegged em though. I can say one thing. They're drought tolerant AF. Other than that nothing special. I've seen @vostok complain about em. That's enough for me to avoid em. Maybe he can chime in on flowering them?

"The free Afghan regs are produced by Seedsman; they’re not on general release yet, hence they’re not currently listed on the site.
Please refer to the product info for Afghani #1 regs from Sensi Seeds, as the specifications are near identical.

Best wishes

Herbie"

Email from herbies.

Search function my friend :p

I've grown one outdoors and it did well. There was a thread yesterday with a pic of someone's indoor one. Looked great also.

I'm gonna pop all the ones I've collected over my orders next outdoor season, along with my fems.

I asked Herbie for the info that was long over a year ago

he gave me the same spin

and others have done the same

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=295244&page=2

I've grown them out, I put a shit load of weight on, thats typical with me and indicas ,,,lol but nothing special

having an interesting array of freebies, like bait to a fish is me, but bending the truth to get a sale , with a freebie is just dumb

hes been offering these freebies with every sale for well over a year now, claiming that they are from this an that seedbank,

as for saying they are 'pre release' is shallow and very Herbie unlike

every business has excess, but so much seed that he can giveaway seed with every sale ... for over 2 years ???

see them for what they are, small insurance to those that spend big money on seeds then fail to germ

give them away as presents is my advice

good luck

Mybfirst grow. I grew Afghani from herbies it was slow growing. And very touchie on nutes. It does not like high nitrogen level or wet feet Loved the pk. She did well with topping and LST. Yield was ok. I would not grow it again.

I chucked five into soil. Two sprouted in two days and then yesterday I stupidly knocked them off the table when I was doing other shit.

I scooped them back into their little seedling pots. I really don't care if they survive or not, I have clones for the next run anyhow.

I have a pack of these freebies too, everyone also talked down the seedman sleestack x skunk#1, it's one of my best plants (stinky skunky cheesey butter smell , nice structure, nice yield , lots of resin), so there might be keepers but they might be total garbage only way to find out is to run them.

Glad I came across this. I was wondering if it was just me or whether that Afghani was truly that slow. Popped all 4 regulars I got free from Herbies and all came out femme. She definitely does not show the progression of other girls that have been flowering for four weeks. Almost seems like a sativa grow as far a growth rate goes. Good to know about not liking wet feet, and now I know her slight claw at first was her not liking much nitro. I have noticed in the past 1 1/2 weeks that there is less claw since she is flowering and not getting as much nitro. Yawning while I grow her though. It's like watching paint dry compared to other strains at this stage. How was her smoke though after all the time and patience? I also grew the PK freebie. She yielded nice sized buds and a decent quantity. Still drying and curing her and haven't sampled her although my hubby has. Says she is decent smoke.

i just got the 2 afghani regular free seeds today.

Quiet sad seeing all the negative reviews.
Oh no! Even when you read bad stuff just use it as a frame of reference but always research and try for yourself! You may do something that makes your experience totally different than others. Good news is that I popped the four I got as freebies and all of them were female. Just pop something else along with them that may grow a little faster since it appears that she takes her sweet time growing.
