Help with the smell

I have some new strains and am having alot of problems with the smell. I have never really used anything to help before but am in need of something now. There was at one time a DIY carbon filter but i cannot find it. The link is not good anymore. Can anyone help?

i've got an ozone generator and carbon filter hooked up to my growbox and they really don't do very much. what i usually do is hang up about 3-4 christmas tree car fresheners and one big odor absorbent air freshener on top of the box. i have to replace them every 2-3 weeks but i haven't had any problems with smell since.

how tight are your funds/pockets?

Not very tight at all. I ordered 2 filters that are 550 cfm they cost me 450 bucks but I have not gotten them yet? What is your idea?

it depends. what is your size is your fan/ducting?

how big would you say is your smell problem?

what size is your exhaust fan?

I dont have an exhust fan. I currently have a filter that doubles as an exhaust fan. The filter is a stand alond and much too small for my area. I ordered a larger one but have not gotten it yet. There are very strong smells and I cannot get rid of them. I am running a 1000w light in the worst room with 6 in air cooled hood but I dont have duct work running to it as the room door stays open and there is an a/c vent pumping in fresh air.

but since you dont have a separate exhaust fan...

i would suggest you using one of those carbon filters with a fan attached!!!

Yea I ordered one from the ads on this site. Almost the biggest they make and it comes with a duct attachment so i can run it throught eh light when it starts getting a little warmer. Thanks for the help. I will let everyone know how the larger filter works from the ads!

I am going to check out the foothills filter. I tried to rep you for yoyr help but it wont let me give it to you again so fast! Have you ever used that new filter sock they have. It is only around 60 bucks and goes on the end duct.

They look like the same filters they sell in the ads. The foothill filters I found with google was selling on ebya nd had black filters. I am using ones like that now, but they are not big enough so I have a 550 ccm one on the way. Whas thet the foothills filters you were talking about?
