Help with soil PH

Hello, I have a few plants and I need some help with the soil ph. I am a first time grower. I am currently using Miracle-Gro ( I know I found out too late its a shit soil). They are currently about 11 days old. I have been watering with distilled water adding CAL-MAG with a PH of around 6.3. I started noticing some yellow spotting on the leaves and read about it and think its due to PH fluctuation.
I watered my plants today like usual and tested the runoff of the plants and the runoff is around 7.5. I know that I need to bring this down to under 7 so I ordered some Aluminum Sulfate to add to the top of the soil. If I add this how do I go about flushing them and trying to get a lower PH level. How much would one recommend adding. I was reading to use .5 TBS for 10gallons so I'm thinking just a 1/2 tsp at a time for 2 gallons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
