Help with growing indoors

How far away your lights should be depends on the type of light, cfls shouls be about 2 inches away from the plant but HPS and MH should be a bit further away if it's too hot for your hand it will burn your plants. I don't know anything about soil I got some random soil from the garden centre and I don't know if its any good, don't use miracle grow though becauae it has "feed balls" in it which might give your plant nute burn. I would get some normal soil and mix a bit of sand in it so it drians better. The temp should be below 90F which is about 32C and above 65F which is about 18C, with that filter/fan system the temp should be fine. High temperature is usually the problem, not low temp. Start the plant on high N nutrients when it is about 2 weeks old at about 1/4 strength and build it up to about 1/2 strength, when you flower it use a high P fertilizer instead at about 1/2 strength.

Mines going quite well, I got the seeds on tuesday and the seedsling are about an inch or two high. I'll send you some pics when they start to get interesting.
