This is the 8th day since I planted seed .
they are tangerine dream autos.
They don’t seem to have made any progress over the past 3 days .
I think I might have overwatered them .
Been giving them about 100-200ml of PH balanced water at 5.7 twice a day.
No Nutrients Yet
Will be growing in rockwool the whole way through.
They are under a 315 CMH light 2 foot above plants .
Have small fan oscillating
Am I just being impatient or is there cause for concern here ?
Appreciate some advice from more experienced grower
Thanks

You have overwatered them if you are doing it twice a day and dont water from the top either, I start in rockwool blocks too and I dip the blocks in water for 3 seconds every 3 days or so at that stage you are at now as rockwool holds a lot of water and the rest of the time the blocks are sitting on a wire mesh to airprune the roots. GL.

Ok thanks I’ll not water them again now until Monday morning and I will just dip the rock wool block into ph balanced water . Thanks for advice

Rockwool is inert .......
You should have been feeding 1/4 nutes from the day the leaves broke surface.
No food = no growth.

Coco would be easier than Rockwool (IMHO), you can't over-water coco.

thanks . Think I’m gonna start nutes from Monday . 0.5ml of micro grow bloom and liquid silicon per litre of water . Hopefully they hang on in there over the weekend

Awful advice, they need nothing at that stage except water in fact, I have topped my plants at week 3 from seed before they even get nutrients.

So much mixed information out there . I have heard that putting nutes in to early is a bad thing so that’s why I haven’t started yet . On the other hand people say it’s essential from the start especially in rock wool . I might try it with one plant and see how it goes . Will keep everyone updated

Ok budman I’m gonna stick with your advise you seem to be certain . When would you recommend I introduce nutes ? These are autoflower seeds btw

Feed one don’t feed one. See the results and do whatever works form here on out. I don’t see how it grows with no nutrients. I don’t think you can go 3 weeks with no nutrients and have much of a plant. Just my opinion. I also don’t think you should feed week 1.

All a plant needs in the first few week is the Cotyledons.

First few weeks? I don’t agree at all. Maybe first few days to a week. But 100% sure not weeks with auto. You wait 3 weeks to feed with no nutrients?

my autos are big at 3 weeks couldn’t imagine how that happens with no nutrients.

At 21 days my “hot” soil shows deficiency which means that 21 days it was eating

Just to give you an idea. Here’s one popped on Dec 15 and this is Jan 8. It grows this big off two tiny leafs that are in the seed? This is about 3.5 weeks in my organic soil. I know you’re not soil but this is my argument that it does need nutrients.
