sorry to hear that fellow, we tried our best but its the root mass, if it don't dry out in time the roots rot and the plants die
you can leave plant under watered for a few days and they pull round

next time get some soil that don't hold water for a long time or it could happen to your next lot
thank u for all ur help..... a friend of mine got me some good compost today.... what do u think...?

From what I saw, your new growth was rotting in the first place and with a seedling that young, honestly, there was nothing you could do to save it. But for your next grow, do more and more research to figure out what you need to do to prevent problems in the first place.

can i pick ur brains about something...? the last time i planted my seeds i had a plastic bag covering the cup.... i seen somewhere that i should leave the bag on till the seedling was 2/3 days old... so my question is should i remove it when she sprouts...? did the bag cause the root rot...? i have mew seeds arriving during the wk with my new grow tent.... http://www.ebay.ie/itm/231784656900?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

thank u very much..... i wont be making that mistake EVER again....
plastic bags over the cups, yer often done it that way just to germinate the seeds

this is what i do

drop the seeds in a glass of water and leave somewhere warm 20-25c for 12-18 hours
mix the water with your finger and check they drop to the bottom of the glass
put the seeds in the soil and give the pots a little water, so the top 50% of the pots are wet
put it somewhere dark and warm, bag over the top of the pots or in a propagator or anywhere to keep the humidity high
as soon as the seeds germinate, get the humidty to drop, remove bag, open vents on the propagator ect

low humidity or dry soil will kill the seeds before they germinate, some growers leave the seeds in wet paper in a plastic bag till the seed germinates and the roots 1" long
