Help... Need help with light distance 600w

I get your point and understand why it sounds strange. But what's happening is the radiant heat is heating the sensor, so it's not giving you a correct reading. Basically its reading hotter than what it really is. Ie you can probably get your light closer.
If I get any closer it would start bleaching my colas. I trust my reading. The ole hand test confirms. lol. Although I know that's how they measure air temp outside.

The reason I say I'm not sure it equates is if the fan leaves over lap under the lights and touch. The leaf on the underside would "sweat" and if I moved the upper leaf the lower leaf would be wet. If the same thing happened "between" my lights (where the light is over lapping from both sides) those leaves won't be sweating. I've been defoliating my fan leaves for a while now. It prevents this from happening as well as help light penetrate.

Don't try that without reading up on it. If you do to much to fast you do more damage than good.

I prefer the 8 inches height but you need a fan
