Hi
@Zerogreentears , aside from temperature and H2O2, there are a few things that you could try. I myself have used these, and they're not miracle cures, but they do help out a lot when my AC broke down on me during the hot season:
- Run the bubbler on a timer. You do not have to run it all the time. I put mine on a timer and run it 15min ON, 30min OFF.
- Incidentally, the waterfall suggestion is a great idea too. That definitely reduces the heat going into the rez.
- Evaporative cooling works too. Have a mini fan towards the surface level. It evaporates the water more, but then all you need to do is top off with RO water a lil more.
- Use humic acid in the reservoir. This thing makes your rez almost black. Usually the main purpose of this is more to prevent algae, but in my (admittedly anedoctal) experience, it does help the plant deal with warm rez better.
