Help me design my next setup 10x12 room

I have a 10x12 room I plan on using around half the room or so. I was thinking of making an L type scrog along the edges of the wall with 2 gsc being topped once. With the two branches growing away from each other on each wall. I will be using 2,000-3,000 watts on this grow, depending on how long I want to veg. Anyone else have good ideas?

Idk if I want to uptake that much with my 90 hour a week job... But I will try and take up as much as the room with 2 plants

Your only growing two plants ?
Use half veg half flower
I would if I could split the ac to both sides I think the half of the veg room not getting any of the ac would run upward 80's and yeah only 2 but wanna scrog 2 pretty big girls

Dude u gotta put more then two plants in there..the amount of time u will waste vegging only two plants..
I have 15 in my 5.5X6.5 yal it's a Lil crammed but I've yielded 2.5 lbs my first.grow.

And for vegging mid 80s is okay, my flower room is at 84 atm, ya it's not the best but it's all I got lol

I just Vegged 5 plants for 8 weeks and got 5 bows... My second grow. I am only doing personal. So that is why I only wanna do 2 but my question was how to design the scrog for them

I'm in a very similar boat so i'm curious how you plan this out, etc. I have a similar sized space in my garage that I want to frame up and build a insulated room inside with similar dimensions. I was also thinking of at least initially starting with a massive two plant scrog with a separate veg room for mothers, workspace, etc. I'm asking myself the same questions right now. I'm in michigan so even insulated I have to deal with the colder winter and hotter summer conditions of the garage but well insulated it shouldnt be as bad.

I'm curious of the location of this room for you as your ventilation/exhaust options will change a lot. Figuring out how to ventilate and climate control two separate rooms one light proofed from the other cost effectively has been tricky to me as well.

Texas. Ventilation will be to the attack. Also I don't want half veg/half flower room although that is a great idea for you. As for blocking off the room maybe use Mylar? Or some kind of certain. But any leak and your done lol. Why I think Mylar would be a good option

Edit; Unless you want to not work when lights are off in your flowering room you might need another separate type wall from your veg/flower room

A curiosity I have is when my garage is this cold (35-45 degrees f) Would running a closed room system inside of an insulated room stay cool enough because of the cold ambient temp of the garage and I could escape running the AC when its damn cold in my garage lol. I would have likely two 600w HPS. The other issue would be probably running a space heater for the twelve hours of cold with the light off if it got down.

Yes it will keep the temps down as long as you vent the hot air out and the cold air in (somehow) going from the outside to the inside would be cool. Since it's so cold there

Your room is way too big for 2 plants, and way too big for 3000w of lights. 4x4 or 5x5 for each plant is about as big as I would go. At either of these sizes you would be looking at 2x 600w or 2x 1000w HPS + supplemental lighting (6500k and UVB.) You also will probably want to top more than once if you are going to scrog out even a 4x4.

So you would be best off dividing off the size you want to grow in either with mylar and DIY walls/curtains or buying a tent.

I like that idea. I will be making a scrog that will be suffice for both plants. My only question is... Like you mentioned... Topping. I was going to lst all the tops. Then scrog when I switch to flower. So a 5x10ft would be good for 2 plants @ 2,000 what's each 5x5 correct?

Yea the scrogs i was checking out for the same project for two big plants were both 5x5. I plan on giving myself at least a foot all the way around for trimming, cleanup, etc.

Hygrohybrid on youtube has a bunch of video on his rdwc flowering room with two big 5x5 scrogs if you would like to see a visual i can provide a link.

Would be awesome! Also how are you going to design your scrog? And what material? I will post my design of my scrog in my grow journal

Following this to build the scrog essentially or im just going to be mimicking it.

Not that this one is the greatest video but because it is post harvest you can see his setup a little better

I'm not initially planning on going rdwc but i do like his design for sure. I'm going to start off rolling coco get a couple grows under my belt in the setup i build and then after some saving i can maybe upgrade to the rdwc.

I size my lights to hit 7500 lumens per sqft. 5000 is about the minumum you want for good bud, 7500 can be pushing it for heat depending on your setup.

Do you already have some lights you can reuse?

ok sorry about that i got a new game last night started playing it before i knew it sun was up

doing a outside L is going to be a bad idea .......as u will not have access to the sites in the back against the wall
......ideally the best design is a N or a M shape as it gives u access to all side your able to work on any part of the plant at any time of your grow

with u moving the plants in a N or M shape u are going to have a much better light coverage as u can overlap the lights and get a bigger golden power zone (take a flashlight point it at the ground now take a second one move it closer see how that center bright spot gets larger and stays the same brightness ) that is the golden zone of power where the plant will always make the most buds and thickest

I have around 5,000 watts of lights I can use from my/hps/led. I have a lot of power I'm just trying to use it the most proficient way I can. And that's a great idea. You just blew my mind justugh! But I will be doing an N type scrog or maybe just a basic square type scrog. But I do plan on training my plants to make a wide flat canopy. However. I want to see if I can grow 8 ft tall plants but train them where they are way way more busy than tall. So when I scrog it can be a huge scrog. I was thinking if I just scrogged my last monsters I would have a lot more bud
