Moronski to the 3rd power @

Moronski to the 3rd power. If course you lied provided Absolutely NO evidence. What else is New? .
Naw, they skipped top-bin & went right to double the money Oslon Squares. Yeah, that makes sense. SMH!
Name one better option & why. This outta be funny.
One is lucky to get drop shipped. Less shipping fees then in the states on the ground. They had Better do something to reduce cost after soaking all proffit marging into the light you get. Duh!
They only use top-bin everything & was the first company to actually post the part #'s used on the site. You'r just being a BS Hater.
Think about how stubborn you fools are.
You all believed the science & bought burples. Found out the science was half true.
Then you guys went & used white based on results compared to burples. Then efficiency came into play, even better. But yet youz chose to ignore the science & facts regarding Horticultural lighting just for electrical efficiency.
So for 5 yrs I've been trying to tell folks the difference is deffinetly worth the shot.
But stubbornness, False accusations & info. Like that of what you spew is one reason why so many are stuck on Neandrathal lighting & refuse to have an open mind or even see the results right in front of them.
Funniest part i most of you Bozos have a beater Burple laying around n won't even add it to your plain white. Lol! Why not? Affraid to lose a umol/j? Or don't wanna tarnish the streetlight fan-boy name?
Get real dude! I support my info.
I'm all in on my Spectrum!! CREE XP-E whites @ 3000K and Royal Blues along with 660nm Osram Reds booiii. The boards are LM301bs @3000K with NICHIA 660nm reds :-)

We replaced 20 gavidas w 20 600 sundisks, 10 600 for side isle lighting and 8 400s as center isle side light and we work our acs less and have reduced our electric bill.
The Enlite engineer is super smart and made the most efficient lights I’ve seen yet
Nice! Got some more pics?

I have narrowed it down to the:
black dog 400
https://indoorgrowingcanada.com/collections/led-grow-lights/products/black-dog-led-phytomax-2-400-led-grow-light
or
kind 750
https://indoorgrowingcanada.com/collections/led-grow-lights/products/kind-led-750w-k5-series-xl750-grow-light-1
but
HLG 550 Rspec is also looking like a contender

any advice is appreciated! im trying to get lowest possible electricity consumption while still growing high thc high grade chronic and i dont mind spending a few extra bucks now to save in longterm costs

Get two for $560 including shipping.

$247 for just 1. That's insane.
Downside is only 1 year warranty, although they are trade assured and have over 200 reviews, all 5 stars. Drivers come with 5 year warranty, the boards with 1 year. Although at this price, if they die after 3 years or so, I wouldn't give a crap as I would of saved that much in electricity from HPS lol.

i always get annoyed when i see the baba companies just straight up stealing the names of big brand lights.

I know why they do it obv, but man, the lights they sell are priced very well and have shown to grow very nice weed, i dont see why they have to steal other companies work, i think those lights would sell on their own merits , drives me crazy lol

Yeah alibaba is class, I have been using it for years for non grow stuff. I got a huge TV that was a carbon copy of my family TV without the logo on it for like 200, they paid over a thousand. It still works today. I also got a PS4 pro for like 150 instead of 400, still going today. Everything is made in China, big companies source from the same manufacturers, add a logo to them and charge 200 - 500 % markups.

More like HLG buys their stuff from China, adds a logo and model name and sells it to gullible westerners for 5 times the price. These big companies are just economic parasites, they are selling you stuff sourced from these very production lines and claiming they are superior. I remember awhile back someone who lived in a place where importing costs a tonne asked for advice from Meiju and they told him to buy directly from someone they supplied to and it was HLG :D

you might wanna venture over to the chinese knockoff thread for some reading, we have growers on site who bought lights from baba, theres been reports of lying, customers being told bad info on parts used and also issues with not honoring warranty.

The lights grow nice weed tho.

Sure, but that is why you don't order from non assured traders, you order from those with the highest diamond ratings and EC compliant. Only issues I have seen have been people buying from the absolute cheapest sources from sellers with no reviews and not assured. I get there are cowboys, but real companies can be as bad. HLG customer service is supposed to be shocking, although I hear they are making efforts to improve it.

Oh theres no doubt thats happening in many areas, ive just read that knockoff thread and seen the first hand complaints and issues.....The lights are priced great which makes them a good buy, they dont need to steal another companies branding name to sell lights tho imo

Also im not sure calling HLG A dropship company is real smart, they are highly regarded around here , that is what your claiming right? That they are just bringing these lights in from China and slapping a logo on them?

@Stephenj37826 care to clarify this please?

really? cause i have heard the exact opposite of this.....many many many posts on here about their customer service going above and beyond lol

i dont own or use any HLG products, i cant afford them and probably wouldnt own them if i could lol, but i give credit where its due, at this point in time, HLG are the standard in the led grow light game.

It sounds like im hating on the BABA , im not...i was gonna buy a room full of the fotops boards from meiju, decided to go another route last minute.

I just get annoyed when i see the name stealing just to sell lights to unsuspecting customers. Im all about transparency

Call it the BABA 550 and that thing is one of the best deals on the internet, if its built like they claim it is lol

Import from China and other Asian nations. Build in the west. Charge lots of coin.

Well ya, but with that comes quality control.

Sourcing parts for anything from asia is smart business, the entire world is doing that. The real benefit to buying from HLG is knowing/trusting that you are getting the top bin diodes they claim are being used and having peace of mind knowing if anything goes wrong, they will honor the warranty or help you get things resolved.

Both of those points have been the main complaints against the baba lights.

I got some good bros who are rocking the baba lights , they love them and grow absolute dank weed, they dont call them HLG 550s tho, so were cool lol

edit: just to add, im in total agreement on the cost and markup absurdity, its why i had to build my led fixtures, i wasnt paying those prices!

Yeah I agree with your quality control point, but I think that as long as you are reasonably careful and do your due dilligence, it is much better to go for Ali boards or anything electrical over a western company, if possible. I have seen talk of some people grouping together to order large enough quantities to get branded diodes and offer an alternative to HLG.

HLG would be a great company if they charged a couple hundred more than Ali lights. But they are charging way over that to the point it is just greed. More people would be buying them and they would have constant and repeat business. If I had the cash I would love to visit the factory, order pallets of boards and heatsinks and drivers and get them branded. Sell them for 65% of what HLG does and brand my light the GHL 435 :D

you said nothing I disagree with at all lol

I went the diy route when I wanted leds. Built 3 fixtures with potential to run up to 2880w. If I had to buy the same wattage from any of the big brands it woulda cost me more than double at least, maybe even triple.

No. No. No.

HLGs boards are manufactured in the US, the first models were originally made in china and they moved manufacturing back home, at that point the clones started showing up on ali and there have been 100 companies knocking them out, some been proven to be using the wrong diode, others are using genuine ones.

Trade assurance doesn't mean anything, the only thing that means anything is how many years the company has been registered on there.
When you have a problem trade assurance will take the sellers side 90% of the time, in the 10% they don't it takes months to sort out.
Its not ebay.

The 5 year warranty on the driver isn't worth anything, meanwells come with 7 year warranty but you need to send it back to the authorised dealer you bought from who will send it back to meanwell. You cant do that with baba, if you do send it back you will be expected to pay shipping and that will cost you a chunk of money.

Do you know what happens when mejui have to honour their warranty? They just say well you've had it 6 month so we will give you 50% of the board value for the board that's burnt out. That's not really a 1 year warranty us it.

Everyone on ali claims to be the factory that make them, but 95% of them are just middle men.

I used to import electrical goods , I know how quick companies you thought you had a good relationship with can turn that warranty to dust or just go dark on you.

Everything on ali is buyer beware. Buy with the understanding that the warranty isn't just words and you wont be disappointed.
Most people accept that.
