Help, is this bug going to be a problem?

Good day everyone.
I have a quick question to ask today:

is this bug/beetle going to be an issue for my plants? (Pics below)
Also.. I have a snake and I’m not sure if they will be good to have around her either..

Can anyone help identify these little guys?
I live in BC, Canada (southern Region if that helps)
So far I can only find “carpet beetle” but wanted to ask and see if that’s what this really is.

any advice or knowledge is greatly appreciated, thanks!!8F78FB84-20C5-468D-BC8B-8AF3FFFAB70F.png

hah i have them, every now and then one crawls past me on the desk, or sit still, i doubt they are harmful
Same, ballsy little bastards eh? ahah
I’m hoping their harmless, I’m actually more concerned about my snake than my plants with these bugs atm. Never saw one in my grow room, but notice them around my terrarium lights since the weathers warmed up.

No expert. Just a few snakes for too long. Reptile scale mites are not related and much smaller. Spent hours curing my rainbow boa with tweezers and iso. LOL.

Good to know! That was my first thought seeing them (I haven’t come across that issue)
As long as they pose no threat, I can relax

Yeah those are carpet beetles. I worked as an exterminator for 8 years. Hard to get rid of. They wont bother the snake, but they might eat the shed skins perhaps.
Thanks for letting me know! I’m only noticing them around a window sill and terrarium lights, I keep everything off the floor and vacuum / dust weekly, so I’m sure it’s not an infestation, but rather a few getting in (I’m hoping so at least).

Well they can be persistent little fuckers. I have them in my house for a few years now. They put holes all in a cashmere sweater I had. Other than that I haven't seen any other damage around the house. They can be hard to eradicate.

First time I ever saw one was a couple days ago it was stuck on a yellow sticky I forgot in my bathroom.
I’m definitely loving those sticky traps for identifying! Took everything I had not to squish the top ones in the photos and flush (until after the photo at least) lol

Yess !!! Makes it much easier to know what you got crawling around your plants. With fungus gnats you can tell if the numbers are decreasing by the amount on the traps.
