HELP, I have ran into a huge issue and need your opinion!

Well this sucks .....

Hey so I have a massive issue in my grow and would like to know what you would do... I have 8 plants in flower. 4 plants at the start of week 6 and 4 at the end of week 2 (these ones have just started to show a few pistols). While checking them last night I noticed seeds in one of the top buds so I started looking closer and it appears all of my buds now have been seeded, confirmed by ripping a couple apart and finding seeds growing in almost every single spot of the buds.. Assuming one of them hermed at some point and I just missed it. So now that the damage is done, is it worth finishing the 4 older plants off? What can I do with this bud since there is so many seeds, make hash or rosin with it?

Are the 4 smaller plants trash or are they ok if I get them out of there ASAP since they are just starting to show a few hairs? Any help would be appreciated, this is a nightmare....

I would finish em off personally...seeded bud for personal use is ok...hash...edibles...etc...n yes you get free seeds....I dont believe the seeds are destined to be hermies try n grow a couple out you may be surprised...I bet they're all fem seeds

Are you sure those are seeds and not just swollen calyxes? Even at six weeks it seems unlikely to have mature seeds. I have seen people claim this on here over the years but the consensus was they were just the ovum.

I seen a seed sticking out of the top of a bud n pulled it out, wasnt ready yet but was definitely a seed, It crushed when I put pressure on it. I'll try to get a better picture once lights are on, figured I'd post and ask around before getting ahead of myself and start ripping plants out lol.

Ya kinda what I was figuring since they are already this far along. Should I seperate the younger plants till these ones finish ? Ya I'll probably give the seeds a try outdoors in the summer just for fun lol.

From what I gather, pollen can last from a week to two....if those have begun to throw pistils( you said two weeks?) then damage has most likely occurred.
I have had a fully seeded grow due to an unknown light leak..smoked great, yield sucked, and it's a huge pita picking seeds.
Great lesson on ensuring parameters remain after periods of time, not just assuming.

Ok that's probably what I'll do then. Not sure if this is related but one of the plants has a ton of leaf bud mutations on it, first time I have ever seen a plant with that mutation but I wonder if that is the one that went herm on me.

Haha ahh ok, well it is what it is I guess. I'm hoping since it's only like 10 hairs per plant at this point that if there is seeds it's maybe just a few per plant. I'll grow em out and hope for the best, the larger ones should be done in a couple weeks so I'm thinking it should be some good smoke still

On the smaller plants. Keep in mind pistils are what grab the pollen to make seeds. So if you only have a few pistils then you only will have a few seeds.

However for this to hold true. You would need to clean your room and the small plants to make sure no more pollen gets grabbed by new pistils forming.

Well here some pics for anyone interested, 2 seeds in this bud, one I pulled out is big, other one is only a bit smaller. Assuming by the size these were pollinated 3ish weeks ago if not a bit longer ? Still can't find any pollens sacks or bananas anywhere, is it possible a couple banana tossed pollen weeks ago then all the male parts disappeared or would it keep producing pollen to the end? I've grown a few plants in my days of growing but this is a first lol.

Ok I will give everything a very good clean tonight. How long is pollen active for, assuming my plants arnt currently producing pollen still?

I'm in the same situation, week 7 & 4 . I'm finishing the week 7 and debating the 4s. still have to tear down and kill pollen. sucks but its part of it

FTW! Let them finish. Damage is done. No need to make it a complete loss.
Separate the seeds/sort them if different strains... If you don't know who pollinated who...
Toss Covid Orgy in the name :lol:

Then try the smoke.. if you like it.. no loss at all.. actually you got a come up with the seeds.
I'd plant 5 from each plant in cups, and 12/12 from seed to see what I was workin with.
Have fun with it.

Let 'em grow. You can have lots of fun with extra seeds. If you know a place where local law enforcement likes to set up a speed trap, drop a handful in the nearest soil. If you've got commuter trains in your area, throw some across the tracks from the platform. Next to a bus bench. In a ditch. On the unmowed highway median. Be creative.

actually it was cherry garseeya pollen or blueberry cookies pollen ...its a cluster fuck, so the OP knows shit happens.

I would. I got about 100 seeds from my 1st plant. It was already bag seed. Going to play with them soon.
2 of my plants are going to be chopped within the next month.
