Help colas turning black around the edges?

I think 6.3 is the highest for coco. I would go for 6 and up the humidity to 50 to 55% don't go higher than that
Should I give only water to both strains until harvest? I read low humidity increases resin production in last few weeks which is why I kept it at 40 because I read optimal humidity during flower is 40-50 ?

You could be right. does that stuff have any calmag in it?Do you see any purpling on the stems at all? Another thing you might want to try is feed vedg nutrients for a week or two into flower. That way it wont suck all that nitrogen up.
There are some purple stems that I kept on adding cal mag and Epsom salts to try and fix which did a little.

I know I read all kinds of shit but I keep mine at 50% The best way is to fine tune the grow room until you see the leaves somewhat flat and pointing up like its praying.

Just use calmag plus it has some iron it. I would stick with your brand and it will drop the ph a little.
Not calmagic, get calmag+. They make a couple different kinds I'm just recommending what I've used and know works.

As far as harvesting goes and if you want to flush that's up to you I wouldn't feed so heavy at the end though. IMO if you're getting any salt build up I would flush it. When I was doing hydro I did flush for the last few waterings a week maybe two because I don't like all the chlorophyll. I switched to organics and make my own soil now, so I don't have to do any of the things we're talking about anymore. I still get that yellow look at the end though, natural life cycle. The purple in this is because of 40 degree nights. overall I think your plants look great and you're doing a good job. grow pics 100.jpg

Thanks man! Those look great also. I noticed the smell went away or not as strong for a week or two while I was having issues now that I started flushing the smell is coming back strong now. I also had a few gnats I was dealing with that I think are mostly gone.

I have purpling of the stem also it seemed like the cal mag was getting locked out due to over fert of something else. Maybe now it will take it since I flushed a little.

We have plenty of experts on flushing here on rollitup. Like I said with me the biggest thing is the chlorophyll at the end makes the weed harsh. The curing process is one of the most important parts and it takes care of most of the harshness but the green taste is what I don't like. Definitely look up curing. I want my terpene profiles to stand out and the smoke to be smooth and not make you cough. In my signature at the bottom of my post it says water only. click on it and give it a look, its a good read. I use tap water start to finish with a little raw cane sugar to keep the microbes happy.

Is it possible to get rid of that taste by flushing for two to three weeks before harvest?

If they yellow up little yes and two weeks is plenty I would still ph adjust. Quality smoke is mainly due to a proper cure. You probably don't need 9 weeks if you use less than 12/12 light like 11/13 or 10/14 your plants will mature faster. Plus different phenotypes not only mature, require different amendments but look, taste and smell different even though they are labed as the same plant. It really takes geneations of cloning a plant to get it dialed in properly. The flowering times as suggested are just a guideline or estimate. Ive grown some that say on the pack 75 to 85 days but they were done at 60. sativas tend to run longer than indicas.

The last few weeks is when the plant puts on some weight. flushing is running 5 gallons of water through a 1 gallon container.
Feeding your plants plain water for 2 to 3 weeks is starving it

So I should be feeding more nutrients? I only took a couple days off. I thought you were supposed to cut the nutrients for the final 10 days or so I figured two weeks to be safe.
