AN said just use a chiller and microbes because the effect of peroxide on the ingredients in the sensi formula aren't compatible. The sensi formula has additivs and it's probably the interaction with amino acids.i don't think you had mold, just root rot. coloring could be some combination of everything in your res.
as you learned, rockwool sucks. use rapid rooters or some other peat based starter
and when you added the peroxide, did you pour some some of your peroxide water from the top to make sure you got your RW soaked with it too?
also sounds like the RW gave some stem rot too.
if that's true, then i'd switch nutes instead of buying a $300 chiller.AN said just use a chiller and microbes because the effect of peroxide on the ingredients in the sensi formula aren't compatible. The sensi formula has additivs and it's probably the interaction with amino acids.
I'm not rushing to set up a chiller but Peroxyde isn't free; a chiller increases yields and peroxide lowers yields so not interested in using it until I may have no choice. For now my AC keeps everything much cool and I use EnzymesKomplete to sanitize stuff growing in soilless but will do one DWC just to see. Also looking into using Megacrop 2.0 in the res and foliar feed Sensi to see how minimizing precipitation or incompatible chemicals by having root solution and foliar solution.if that's true, then i'd switch nutes instead of buying a $300 chiller.
to tackle a full on root rot situation, i'd take peroxide or chlorine vs bacteria to fix it ASAP.
not true . healthy roots increases yields. big roots=big fruitsa chiller increases yields and peroxide lowers yields
I suppose it's a fine line, as a noob i'm likely to see better results with a chiller than peroxide.not true . healthy roots increases yields. big roots=big fruits
you can still get rot with a chiller. it just makes it harder to getI suppose it's a fine line, as a noob i'm likely to see better results with a chiller than peroxide.
a chiller's best feature is that there is more Dissolved Oxygen in your water at 65F vs 75F.I haven't dealt with root rot, the chiller question came up because I called AN to figure out why my PH wasn't holding in a tiny res.
