Hello,a little help?

I am setting up my first room and I'm shopping for Hortilux 600w HPS bulbs online. Most places $130, a few places $75-$80 (Hydroponic Source - ebay, VM Innovations) and as low as $63 (eHydroponics.com).
Are these prices too good to be true?
Has anyone done business with any of these places?
Is there a list on the site of places to avoid doing business with?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In my experience I always bought Hortilux bulbs, its a small amount to pay for the big return you can get on investment. I tried the cheaper bulbs and just was not the same, just remember the old saying "you get what you pay for". Check with a local grow store sometime they run sales and have better prices than online...

Thank you. As I look for things online I find such a wide range of prices on the exact same item that I don't know what to think. Is the low price place a rip off or is the standard mark up that big. Your reply seems to indicate the latter.

Hi Alec,
I've ordered my CO2 monitor from VM Innovations. Best price by far, fast delivery and product was in good shape and works well. I'm looking to buy more from them. I was very pleased. I do a ton of bus with ehydroponics ($200/mo or so) and with their brick and mortars. I buy all my nutes, organics and ph up and down, soil, tools, air stones, pumps, bulbs, etc from them. They almost always have the best price and they will usually meet any advertised price. The only issue I had with them is a late shipment due to an item being back ordered. I was waiting on that item and was pissed that they didn't let me know that the shipment was going to be delayed.

FWIW, I also agree regarding Hortilux bulbs :hump: Ya get's what ya pays for!

Better watch VM. I got a ppm3. They sell new and used. The plastic bag had staple holes, but no staples. The instructions were crumbled up in the box. Everything just tossed in the plastic bag.I called them and they sworn it was new. Now, after three weeks, I walk in and find it at 2000 or even 3000ppm when set at 1400. I called cap, and put both ends on a timer, and that didn't help. Bottom line is VM sent me a broken used unit, then took me for stupid when I called them on it.
