No need to check runoff in organic grows , all “ you “ have to do is water in at 6.5 ( even if it’s peat ) . Peat can run very acidic often in the low 4’s . But as long as you range the water to the “ plant’s optimal ph range “ then you are set. You locked out your grow by running at 6.0.
Also , never a need to pull plant and rest in new base soil ..... all you do is topdress more of the soil to recharge both the organic elements like the Myco and composted buffers for the soil. By just watering it in or steeping a bag as a tea drench.
