Hey Everyone,
I currently have a 4x4x2.5 grow cab built out of plywood and 2x4's. Inside the cab I have 2 - 400W HPS lights, a fan, and 2 - 120CFM bath fans connected to a carbon filter (no cool tube). My concern is this:
With both lights running, the cab reaches a temp. of about 95-100 degrees. However, when I use my laser pointer temperature gauge and point it at the plants, the soil, the walls, the pots, it reads 70-80 degrees. Do you think that the high temp in the box is okay if everything else reads a lower temperature?

P.S. The thermometer is sitting on top of the soil of one of the plants that is about 12" below the light.
