Heater-Work with outlet timer?

Currently have a fan forced ceramic heater, basic.
I’m about to get a oil filled radiator that has a digital thermostat.
Set it to 70 for lights out and be good.
But reading some reviews sounds like if power goes out they don’t turn on when the power does. Is that the same as a outlet timer?
Any work on a timer? What do I need to look for?

My heater currently works with the timer but i want to control the heat better

Inkbird 308. I use it for heating and cooling..set your threshold and forget timer.. not sure on your space.. a honeywell mini ceramic heater (200-350w).. works in winter for a 24 square ft room. Good luck.. homedepot have wall mounted low watt heaters.

Same here: the oil-filled heater I have works great, but needs to be on (powered) all the time. If a timer trips it off or an outage occurs, it resets and doesn't heat till manually turned back on... I just let it maintain a set temp, and hope the power doesn't go out if away...

Ups units are cheap.. timer shouldn't trip it unless circuit is maxed..i don't know your setup..there are smart wifi devices that alert u when power is tripped.. heating in winter sucks..that is what am doing right now.. with ceramic i find the air gets really dry..i also use wet towels and humidifier. Good luck..

Ceramics dehumidify some, I need that during lights out. Less work for my dehuey.

Must be analog oil filled if you want to use a timer to turn the unit on/off.

Both are on controllers.

I was also going to mention the Inkbird that Nrk brought up. But they have different models worth checking out. The 306T is about the same price as the basic 308, but only does heating not cooling, but it also includes a clock and the ability to set different temperatures for day and night (which is great for cannabis) and has a battery backup to keep the clock going and retain settings in case of power outtage. There is a version of the 308 with time capabilities, but it's a bit pricier.

Yeah, really, anything like that should work wonders. I haven't used one on my grows, but I'm also a snake keeper and have to control that heat mat. I only just saw the model with the day and night settings and thought that could be really useful, knowing that temperature swing helps brings some of the colors out in strains that are genetically predisposed toward it.
