heat issue, need advise

I have a grow tent with a 1000 watt hps going inside it and I cant get the temp below 90. i have a fan inside and venting the hood with the airfilter connected to the fan venting to outside and another fan venting cooler air in. i was wondering if i put in a co2 bag will that help the plants deal with the temp. also how will the bud end up with temp that high? would it be better to just get a 600 or 400 watt hps?

I would say that 1000 w is too much for a tent. Maybe a room. You will never get the temps down with that high of wattage. I would suggest drop down to a 600w and see if that helps. Sometimes when you go big---its too much. You will get a fine yield with 600w.

Intake is low, and on the opposite side as the exhaust?
You don't want them both high, sucking in warm room air and pushing the same air right out.

I agree intake should be higher than the exhaust you basically sucking the cool air right out

Ur bud will be fine. Just

make sure there watered regularly. Drop the wattage and the temp will drop.

Disagree to some degree. High temps mixed with just slightly too much humidity is a good mix for mold/rot. Also how high above 90 because high temps will cause light airy buds instead of the nice density we want

I got the heat down to 85 now but im still thinking maybe i should drop to 400 or 600

The best temp for weed to grow is 72-77. I think alot of the post on this web site is plain guessing. Bigger is not always better. If you drop to a 600 you may still have some heat issues, but its really the best size for a smaller grow. We have had 30 days of 90 or better in Michigan. My tents have gotten to 88 degrees with 3 inline fans, ceiling fan, and 3 box fans. I had to resort to the AC on some days. With the flux we have had everyone is having this issue. Now that Sept is here maybe it will start to cool a bit.
