8/30/23 - Cut off a couple leaves that weren’t looking very good. Really hope I can get these two plants to the finish line and harvest something from them!!
8/31/23 - A few more issues with leaves. Heard that strong black tea works well with killing off insects. Held off on spraying - wanted to make
sure it’s ok while in flower. Noticed that even though I cut off the problem leaves yesterday, there are just as many today. Not good!! Otherwise, they both looked like they were fine without watering.
Checked back about 8 hours later and all the leaves on both plants were drooping / limp. Checked the soil and the meter read Dry. Added some CalMag to a gallon of water and watered both plants. Hopefully, the leaves won’t be droopy tomorrow.
9/1/23 - Sprayed them both w. very strong black tea. Both sides of the leaves and the soil. Hopefully, this will kill off any of the insects that were ruining the leaves. Figured the tea can only help and not hurt anything. Hope I'm right! Plus, my plants now smell of mint.
I’ve been feeding them GeoFlora Bloom (3-5-5) for the last two weeks. Think there's a high possibility that they might have a Potassium deficiency. I already have two items I can feed them for high Potassium – MegaCrop (9-7-14) OR Sea-K (Soluble Kelp Extract)(0-0-1. Which would be better at this point? They won’t get any more GeoFlora for another ten days. Also, do I continue to give them the CalMag each time I water them?
9/6/23 - Extremely hot day. Watered them both w. added CalMag. Still issues with the leaves. This is my first grow and I gotta admit, I’m confused. What am I doing wrong OR what can I do to fix these issues? Not really sure what to do at this point.
Looks like possible Nitrogen or Potassium deficiency? Looks like probable issue with thrips? Is the insect problem minor enough that I can just leave it alone? OR should I spray either Neem Oil or Captain Jack’s Deadbug Spray (Spinosad) while they’re in flower? I'm guessing that isn't a good idea. Spray strong black tea instead (or is that crazy)? OR should I buy one of these instead: SNS-209, SNS-203, SNS-217?
So many questions -any / all advice is greatly appreciated!
I use flora micro grow and bloom from general hydro or gh.
Anyway your plants look pretty damn good to me. I'm indoors but I learned a lot outdoors for years off and on then didn't grow for years then started indoors a little while then quit again for a couple years then im on my first indoor grow again now.
Can you fill the stalk kinda squeeze it in between your finger tips maybe thump it gently to see if maybe be feeling hollow. My stalks at the bottom started like that and leaves like your showing on my outdoors plants before and I had termites. The entire plants have also fallen over.
Ants too have did this to me. Hopefully it's not but im no expert and I would check
9/10/23 - This is the third day of Rain. Must have been extremely windy – both plants are leaning the same way. Tried to fix them both, but still a bit of a lean.
9/11/23 - Both plants are still leaning from the recent storm. Added 2/3 cup of GeoFlora Bloom to both plants. Did not water today since soil still very wet.
9/12/23 - Fed them Sweet Candy [0-17-28] to help with the problem leaves. Hopefully, this should fix up the leaves quickly! Exceedingly pungent today. Could smell it IN the house! Will have to set them up farther from neighbor’s house next spring. Sunny all day. Monsoon at night. When I checked on them, once again a very strong lean. Moved them close to the wall to protect them from the storm.
9/13/23 - Looks like it’s going to pour again. Brought them into the garage late afternoon. Need to support them so they can stay upright on their own.
9/14/23 - OMG – the pot smell in the garage is overwhelming! Incredibly strong. Brought both plants to the backyard again. Need to set up a support for the THC Bomb. It’s still not standing straight.
9/15/23 - The THC Bomb still has a pretty serious lean to it. But propped up against the fence. Had thought that a tomato cage would work. Then I noticed how small the circles were. Thought you could unhook the circles to make them bigger, but…Not the case. Need to figure something out asap!
9/17/23 - Yet more rain. THC Bomb leaning again. Will try to tie it up tomorrow.
9/18/23 - Tied off the THC Bomb to the fence with yarn. This should hold the plant up and stop the leaning. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to spray them with SNS-203 tomorrow! Real life keeps interfering. Not finishing work til already dark.
9/25/23 - Need to get both of these plants stabilized. They're leaning far too much. At this point, is it ok if I put a pole next to the stalk to tie plants to OR would that totally damage the roots?
9/25/23 - Both plants are still leaning from all the rain. Added 2/3 cup of GeoFlora Bloom to both plants. Did not water today since soil still very wet.
