Having an identity crisis, think I'm turning vegan.

If I could bathe in spinal scrapings I would.

There is nothing about the process of slaughtering animals that turns my stomach, I dream about it.

ME<------carnivore.

You do know there are plenty of pro athletes that are vegan, right? Some bad MFers in the NFL. Protein is everywhere. Some legumes/rice combos have every amino acid you need.

I like you, but that post made you sound like your avi.
my posts reflect the realities of my opinions. it is definatly possible to get all the protein you need from non meat diets butt dosent make it efficent, the protein to carb ratio in vegan diets is not ideal for maintaining muscle as its much higher in fiber and sugars then it is protein so you need to rely on strict diets and supplements more then someone who eats lean meat. I will concede that cruelty to animals needs to be stopped and i believe that to be a problem of max ur profits capitilizam then it is people eating it. I personaly believe eating another creature is not cruel but merely nature at work, we are just one living ecosystem after all. Domesticaton of animals is something nature allowed us to evolve and our bodies with a healthy balanced diet enjoy and make great use of meat. So if enjoy it eat it, if u dont then dont, but eating meat does not make u a bad person

its actually quite the common myth that vegans need supplements. you dont.
it is actually quite efficient to eat a non meat diet, not only for yourself but for the environment

I don;t think anyone here thinks you, or anyone else who enjoys meat, is a bad guy. I cooked rib eyes last Friday. I love grilling steaks, chicken, fish,. I have only recently stopped because I think the HGH, antibiotics, and other shit in the meat is worse than the enjoyment/benefit is good.

Much love,..... get your pump on!

some dont but thats the exception not the rule, take for example my cousin who is a model works out all the time and does arieals (hanging on a curtain basicly) she is a vegan but shes also only 100lb or so, to maintain her muscle tone she only needs about 60-80 grams of protein a day probably even less. Now compare that to a 200lb body builder or pro boxer or whaever who needs at least 160g of protein just to maintain muscle tone and more if they want to gain it and your past whats reasonable to get out of an unsuplemented vegan diet without consuming far to much carbs and fiber. A diet with animal products can easily fill the dieteray needs of a high performance athlete without supplementing. Personnaly i use whey protein shakes but thats because its a lot cheaper then meat for the amount of protein my diet requires

"With 16 years in the NFL, Gonzalez is the league's elder statesman when it comes to vegetarianism. When Foster was considering his dietary switch, he called Gonzalez, who told him: "Get enough protein or you'll lose strength." Gonzalez first went vegan in 2007 after reading The China Study, which outlines the link between animal protein and the Western world's rise in diseases like cancer and heart disease, and he was concerned about his health. He quickly slimmed down on the diet. "I lost a lot of weight, 10 pounds down to 235," he says. "I looked good, I felt great." But at training camp the next season, he could feel the loss of strength. "I can usually handle 100-pound dumbbells pretty easily," he says. "But I was just crushed by them. I was like, 'I can't do this.' I felt the best I ever felt in my career, as far as energy and endurance, but there's no way I could go out there and do my job. I've got to block 290-pound charging linemen. For my position, I need to be more bulky."

"Rather than risk performance, Gonzalez started adding some meat back to his food plan. Today, he eats a largely vegetarian diet, with small amounts of fish or chicken and large quantities of vegan protein powder. He maintains what nutritionists call an 80/20 approach – 80 percent plant-based foods and 20 percent animal protein, mostly fish. "I hardly eat red meat," he says.

I don't mind. Were animals we are supposed to eat animals I don't care what happened to it or what part of its body I'm eating within reason. As long as it fills my munchies
