that's funny, My ferrari (gavitas) are killing it. I regularly fill the large jar plus another 2 oz jar per plant since I started using them. I just barely filled the large one with a SE 1000 watt. REAL WORLD RESULTS my friend.

I've been in 2000 sq ft med/rec grows in CO using Gavitas. I can tell you my good friend (owner) is seriously looking at CREE COBs based on my DIY

Results my friend. I can get great weed with T5s....do I need to? Hell no

Different strokes buddy. Just don't compare your new model of an old reliable tech to a top end sports car. Sure it's fast and powerful, but so is a Camaro

All I know is my computer ran really well with Windows XP and one core hard drive, but I sure as hell prefer my 8 core 16 gig of RAM laptop now

Quantifiable too...
SE=1800µmols bulbs vs DE=2100µmols bulbs...16% increase
SE=36% efficiency vs DE=42%...16%increase

And is the reason we talk so many numbers with led's. It is all just quantifiable plant science.

Using 500 PPFD(shitty leds or too budgeted on DIY) to grow a 6ft plant is dumb and we all know it. Do a real and quantifiable experiment and it's clear that lights is light.

Also would like to add that in an area with reflective walls, the inverse-square law doesn't really apply since light doesn't get lost in some sort of vacuum but a lot of it gets reflected to the plants where it's meant to be.

according to that greengenes guy 1000 watts of LEDs produces the same heat as 1000 watts of hid or 1000 watts of a heater. these guys are clueless, don't waste your time.

Just because I have the time and money to be on the front end doesn't make me wrong. And I sure as hell don't have to agree with your opinion on quality.

I respect your right to use HPS just like I respect my friends still using T5s. We all grow good weed. I looked at Gavitas before building my lights. I have sorry ceilings in my space and electrical restraints. My COBs are perfect for my needs. It all depends on application.

Space is there to be used.
What's the point of having unused space?

Do you also buy HDDs for your PC and not use them because you enjoy the empty space?
