Hassle free clone tip

I've used clone powder before and my clones always looked close to death before they finally perked up. Usually they lost 2-4 leaves before they finally grew new growth.

I decided to stop buying powders and gels and and just stick my clones in a water bottle with just tap water. Since I've started using this method I haven't lost a clone or even a leave for that matter.

Try it on a clone of yours for fun sometime. Here's a few pics of one of mine at 7 days.Picture 583.jpg Picture 585.jpg

That's cool man. We can still be friends. lol

I'm going to ween myself off of the bottle, honestly, its been on my to do list.
You've got to give me credit though for my baby steps. I began cloning in rockwool,
then broke that habit and went to rapid rooters, been there for years. Only recently did I
break that habit too and go directly to wet promix for a great experience. but the thought of
rooting a dozen labeled cuts in one cup of water(space) intrigues me much.

do you dome them for a day or two or no?

No i haven't. I think the skinny neck of the water bottle creates that dome effect.. That's why i use the bottle.

How much light are you giving your clone using the bottle trick?
I just have them in a shade spot on my computer desk. There sitting a foot away from me as i'm typing this.... To answer your question not much light at all. In a few days I'll transplant them in soil then i will acclimate them to the big light.
