Leaves are 90% water, held within cell walls that give support, structure and texture to the plant. The water is contained within the plant cell and when the water freezes, it expands by approximately 10%, and the ice crystals cause the cell walls to rupture.
Think twice before you freeze any fresh vegetal matter. Freezing dry is pointless you better cure your dry trims

Fresh frozen is an oxymoron by the way, like wise fool to give an example. Products are fresh OR frozen, can't be both and that in any language

Well I certainly see no contradictions in English.

it's
an adjective meaning
not stale or deteriorated; newly made, harvested, etc ⇒ fresh bread, fresh strawberries.. freezing fresh fruits allows access to fresher fruit

a plant straight from chop is by definition fresh, put that in the freezer and call it whatever you want. it makes the most pristine solvent extraction

I think the *fresh* statement is referring to the duration in the freezer.... So if something is flash froze, is fresh= fresh frozen.

sooooo dabs
when are you starting yiur next grow?
Sorry about the random thread jack
I believe some of my first couple of strains are being vegged out for me as we speak.

But, if not I might have to wait til my left hip is replaced in June.

I'm SUPPOSED to have this amazing Sativa heavy hybrid from Jamaica that yields huge, FROSTY nugs and finishes in 52-60 days being grown for me.

I have some fantastic friends that really care about my condition, sooooo...

I get some great benefits for being a bit crippled.

I have to come up with an original name for this strain as it is an exclusive from a particular dispensary way up North.

If I don't get it rolling within a week or two, I'll be forced to wait til after surgery.

It is scheduled for June 12, Two weeks of severe pain, not being able to achieve anything for the two weeks.

I do however have a couple buddies willing to come over daily to tend to the garden while I'm in recovery.

But I'm way OCD, particularly in my grow room...
It's pretty extreme, and I imagine my anxiety would drive me insane.

I'm one of those guys that hand waters/measures nutes by hand for each plant separately.
Lights on & lights off I look at every single leaf, top & bottom, ph everything...etc etc.

Sorry for the super long reply, get me all worked up talking about the grow.

To put this strain into perspective, I'd be willing to fill my room with her only.

I'll post up a pic of a cured flower shortly.

I also want to get a cut of Death Valley Cheese this season, and some Flo Scout Cookies (Flo x GSC).

Sour Amnesia is also on my wish list.

My goal is to dial in this grow, earn enough funds to finish my room, so I don't have to shut down for the winter.

I've recently acquired two additional 1000w units (ballast & hoods)

Giving me 3Kw of HPS.

Hope to have this all done before winter hits.

No more job, means I got lots of time to make it happen.
Lots of decisions and configurations that need to happen.

Got a construction/electrician guru as a very close friend and will work for bud.
Big plans for 2014-2015.

I also have a seed vault with about a hundred or so of different strains..

That damn seed vault alone could probably sustain a steady source of plants for years and years and years.

Man, I need to go through that vault and write em down... It's quite the collection.

You might have to blow it up to see the little tiny trichomes... ;)

Jamaican Hybrid.
Came up with the alias
” Jamaican Frost”

Those are the prettiest nugs I had left in my jar...
Usually I save the best nugs for last..

But with this strain, I did the opposite... Damn, I couldn't help myself.

Taste is off the charts, almost like burnt rubber aroma, sounds gross, but it is the best way to describe it. Seriously it's now one of my favorites.
