wow I can't believe walmart is selling led grow lights now. That's hilarius...have fun being on the facial recongition and eye retenia scanners at the self checkout...
Lowes, Home Depot, everywhere. Grow lights aren't illegal and people grow more plants than just cannabis. I've used 'em for decades to start my vegetable/herb/rose seeds in the early spring since planting time here is early june.

You grow roses from seed I'm impressed some people think that grow lights are only for cannabis very sad

Thanks just the par is really all I need the breeders are saying that 35 par is a good minimum number to aim for I'll test them tomorrow the color of light plays an enormous part and being able to focus such a narrow spectrum allows good results from leds with much lower wattage than equivalent full visible spectrum
Congratulations!

You have it ALL FIGURED OUT. You don't need to ask any questions, because obviously you know exactly what.you're.doing! Every reply that's tried to give you some substantive information you've basically said you know better.

... But you seem to be stuck in a world where lighting knowledge stopped about 10 years ago. Blurples aren't state of the art. UV/Blue/Red aren't the only things plants need. And it simply isn't wavelength that's the only important factor.

I'm really perplexed why you came here and posted asking questions and then literally every answer you've rejected. I look around this thread and see some guys who have decades more experience than you...worth listening to.

Ooooh... What's that on the pile of discarded grow lights... It's the 2' unit you're talking about. Million of 'em out there.

When you post anything to a message board you're 'inviting' comment from everyone. That's what a message board is. You shoot the arrow, you have no control over how it flies.

The OP is being a term I just learned a couple of days ago - an “askhole”. I am not going to post any follow ups on this thread as said askhole seems quite touchy. The last two sentences of your reply are fantastic advice too.

OP to answer your question, no I have not used those lights.

I get that but none of these geniuses answers the question there is a lack of the most basic of intelligence in these replies I would have a little respect for anyone that started their answer with " i haven't used them,but......." no not one of you wants to be objective either you all got the best way and everything else is just dumb I'm not cocky I'm annoyed

Here's the thing. The lights you're talking about are common mass produced low wattage units that everyone has seen and come across. They're basically generics no matter the brand. They're based on technology that (given the pace of newer grow light technology and understanding) is old and for the most part the leading edge of the industry has moved on.

You got them for free, so add them to your mix. I used mine to supplement a newer brighter more full range modern LED light because I didn't have the scratch at the time to buy a bunch of other newer ones. I can't say that they helped much and I was much happier when I got good matching modern full spectrum LED boards. At some point having 500 different lights all over the place would just drive me nuts with the clutter, and given they're all pretty much R/B and one UV, I don't think you're getting the supportive spectrum you really will want for success at harvest.

All these guys have seen every blurple there is lots of 'em used ones that were way upscale from those units when they were the new thing. There's a reason people have moved on to the 'white diode' boards and bars these days if they're growing with LED.

Here is your answer, forget about asking anybody anything because it doesn't mean shit. 35 watts per square foot for LED. That's all you need to know. I don't need to know shit about your lights, meaningless, watts per square foot is right and yes, you will grow some good weed unless you suck.

But you don't care about that. You want to talk to people who bought the same product as you.
