Has anyone had any success with T5's?

Hey Gang

I'm just looking for some feedback from anyone having grown with T5's...

This is not my primary gear, I've got 2 Meizhi 450's that are presently occupied...actually 3, but for some reason the third one one flips on the reds for flowering..not the blue/growth..not sure what the problem is there.. :(

What I am doing is breeding autoflowers...As such, I need more real estate so I can pop a larger number of beans for pheno hunting...but still anticipate I will still need more space once my 450's finish upon another project..even after culling the crap specimens..

Just wondering how far people have gone with T5's and how was success? I dont think I should have any problems since Im just focused on genetics this run..

thoughts?

Thanks for the input Corey...
I've read a number of your posts..Nice to a have the light veteran like yourself pop in to offer a little guidance.

Appreciate it..

Hey BHB..
Thanks for the reply...
Yeah, I was thinking T5 should be enough to start and finish a bunch of these crosses Im doing...I'm trying to pump a bunch of different photo genetics into my autos to pump em up further and expand canabinoid and terpene profiles..
This round of heterozygous f1 beans all still have the dominant photoperiod in them Pp...so I'll be able to run them 12/12 all the way through to get my f2 beans.. :)
I think those t5's should still have enough of a spectrum of red to finish properly as I am not worried about bud size, cannabinoids or terps.

The only way you'll find out if they are useful for what you want to do is to try them, good luck.

You will be ok to run your experiment with them, but I wouldn’t base my pheno hunt around them, but would be a good starting point for looking for terps n some other characteristic.
I wouldnt want to base things like looks , density, yields off of them tho.

BHB..
The challenge I have..is that breeding vs actual growing will be in two different environments..and yes, I realize that that makes a world of difference..
Here in Alberta..I'm looking to create auto strains that are specific and acclimatized to the local environment...ones that will finish on time outside
Hence, the real pheno hunt will begin outdoors in the Spring...I'm just hoping to leapfrog a season and nail down some general traits I
Am looking for (over winter)...vigor, structure, sativa vs Indica inclinations to cross...so when I do the real pheno hunt for those small percentage of f2's that are full auto..Ive built on some calculated structure Im looking for.

I can do some outdoor testing for ya.
Would be a half ass gorilla style grow.
Plan on dropping a few patches.
Hopefully harvest 25%
Wildlife, poachers etc

With the t5 get some warm and cool bulbs, t5 r good if your height restricted, can get real close to plants with t5 about 4 inch from tops, if heats a concern, they got decent penetration about 50 cm, dont expect HID dense budz

Thx for the offer BHB..
I'm gonna run some of these seeds first as they're going to be all over the map...don't want embarrass myself..
Have two projects:

One a webbed leaf stealth strain..the other a high grade blend.

My goal was originally targeting THCV...so I have bred Subcool's Jack the Ripper photo..with Girl Scout Cookies Auto( both know to have THCV) and GG4 Auto, and Tangiematic...so the genotypes are going to be all over the map when I get going..
Top shelf genetics across the board though so should be interesting.

Hey Starecase
Agreed...We'll have to wait till spring to see if these beans add up to anything more than Auto Salad :)
