Hello all, just wanted to say happy holidays and hope all your winter harvests end up great...

I was hoping I could get advice and maybe a little comfort. So I chopped my plants about 4 days ago; and I hung them upside down by string with fans blowen etc. Anyways, yeah so after 4 days I decided to take them off string and I was trimmen them so will be all beautiful before I start to cure...

I was wondering 2 things... 1-I am putting them into a food storage container, then will put this into brown paper bag(i am following grow faq curing) without the lid on... After a few days of being in tupperware/paper bag, I should then begin to seal the food container and start sweating out the excess moisture???

Let me try to be more concise in my question: I am asking whether after the first 4 days of air drying, if I should immediatly start curing them with airtighter container or if I let them dry for a few more days after air drying/manicuring...

Question 2: Are my scissors and fingers supposed to be this damn sticky?!?!? Damn they are glued together. How much THC did I lose toying with these nugs? I mean shit they still look beaitufil and crystally but I really hope touchen and cutten at them isnt ruining the end product.

Question 3: I have a good amount of popcorn sized nugs & leaf trimmings, is it better to make hash or brownies and do you have a recipe you recommend?

If you answer any of these questions, I will love you forever. Good luck harvesting guys peace, love, n weed :peace::blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke::peace:

well one thing i can tell u is its good to be sticky !! xD i get some from the grower i know and its usualy very sticky and its a joke trying to break it up lol xD

arrrggh i know the feeling!!!!!! i actually hate it when I get nugs, from a dispensary, dealer, grow, w/e it is, and the nug is sticky when I break it up. I hate the feeling of losing THC to my index fingers. Get in my belly thc

sounds good ;) i let my plants hang dry for 4 days.. then i put in a paper bag ( open ) for about 2 days then airtight jar.. and yes sticky is good! i know the feeling you feel like you losing alot but its really not.. and yes my scissors were so sticky i couldnt even open and close them lol. you should be able to tell by look/feel if they are ready for jars you want them to be dry but sticky.. welp hope that helped.. gl and congrats!~

what about hash or brownies? u got any recipe or a link to one that will teach me how to make it... right now i got all these trimmings n popcorn buds in a ziplock bag, thats goin to the trash unless its ez enough of a process to make hash(i aint down to cook anything up thats too hard)

i dunno i tried it once its a pretty big pain in the ass to make hash imo unless u got bubblebuckets or know what your doing.. dont get me wrong if u can do it, its worth it it lol just alot of work ;) there are many methods try youtube -_-

ps. it totally just took me abuot 4 hours to manicure this beast. i got like backaches n s hit ha
You'll get better with practice. You're going to keep practicing, yes? ;)

As for your question, specifically, allow the buds to dry to the point where the main stem snaps. THEN put them into the paper bag, this will allow the moisture that's still deeper in the bud to become more evenly distributed throughout the material. Then, once it's to your satisfaction (about two weeks or so with the bag method if I recollect) you want to put it into better sealed containers, such as the food container. Make sense?

I won't be making hash, I'll be making cannabutter to use for cooking. I will probably use the crockpot butter + water method a friend told me about, he gets great results that way. I'll also be water-curing the trim BEFORE I make the butter, as all the edibles I've ever had tasted a bit gacky (green or something, just didn't like it) and water-curing should remove a lot of what causes that flavor. :)
